Sector: Operations Support Specialist I – Donor Services We are seeking a reliable and detail-driven Operations Support Specialist I to provide administrative and operational support to the Donor Services team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is critical to maintaining controlled documentation, managing regulated supplies, coordinating equipment maintenance, and supporting compliance with healthcare and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare operations, supply chain, or other regulated environments and demonstrate strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently. Assignment Details Pay Rate: $35.00–$45.00 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Department: Blood Center – Donor Services Duration: 6-month contract (possible extension) Location: Palo Alto, CA Key Responsibilities Maintain, distribute, and control documentation across mobile and center locations, ensuring current versions are in use Track and manage inventories of controlled documents, labels, tags, and supplies across multiple sites Support Critical Supply Verification by reviewing shipments, verifying lot numbers, expiration dates, and shipment details Review package inserts for updates and obtain required manufacturer certificates Order and manage office supplies and equipment, maintain inventory levels, and distribute supplies as needed Source special-request supplies by obtaining vendor quotes and coordinating with purchasing Perform preventative maintenance on donor services equipment and coordinate vendor repairs as needed Troubleshoot equipment issues when possible and escalate complex repairs appropriately Maintain accurate records related to supplies, equipment, compliance, and vendor reporting Ensure proper storage and accessibility of package inserts, certificates, and compliance documentation Assist with operational projects and support other team members as assigned Adhere to all health, safety, privacy, and security policies, including handling of PHI Support compliance with regulatory standards and safe practices in environments with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens Minimum Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: 1–2 years of experience in operations support, supply chain, materials management, healthcare operations, or another regulated environment Experience managing controlled documents, inventories, or regulated supplies Required Skills & Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks independently Knowledge of administrative procedures and regulatory requirements Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to confidentiality Effective interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments Benefits & Perks Competitive hourly pay Health, Vision, Dental, and Life insurance Weekly payroll 24/7 recruiter accessibility and dedicated support Personalized service throughout the assignment Refer-a-friend bonus program
