🌊☀️ Dr. Jillian and fellow board members from the Doheny Longboard Surfing Association (DLSA) recently took a surf trip to Cabo, enjoying warm water sessions and time together in the ocean. The trip was a reminder of how strong our community is — at Surf & Turf Therapy, we aren’t just a program, we’re a family. We’re grateful to DLSA for their continued support of our mission and the families we serve.⁠

We’re excited to paddle out with them again at the Velzy Surf Contest on Saturday, Sept 13th, followed by their incredible annual luau! 🌺⁠

We are beyond grateful to for awarding Surf & Turf Therapy a grant to support our newest team member—our Equine Program Assistant, Violet! 🐴✨

It was an honor to be selected as a finalist among so many amazing organizations, and absolutely incredible to be chosen as a recipient for a $27,500 grant!

The evening at Strawberry Farms Golf Course was nothing short of magical—country chic, community-driven, and full of heart. 💛 Violet joined Dr. Jillian and MJ at our booth to meet the wonderful people who made her role possible. Thanks to your support, we’ll be able to serve 18 more individuals each week through our horseback riding program and provide more consistent care for the four-legged partners who make this work possible.

A special shoutout to Diana Morris for not only sponsoring our application but for mentoring Dr. Jillian through this process two years in a row. Your guidance has helped our grant writing grow stronger and our mission reach further.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Movie with a Mission - 5/17/2025

We are in need of a lot of volunteers to help with the carnival, check in, and parking! No experience is required and all volunteers get a rad event tee-shirt with "Monsters" art designed by RJ Hervey. This is a great way to enjoy a fun night with our amazing community, and even get the kids involved (14+ allowed, younger welcome when paired with an adult- just email Jillian@surfandturftherapy.org to confirm job placement before sign-up).
