Covenant Hills Treatment Center

Covenant Hills Treatment Center Breaking the Chains of Addiction for Over 30 Years For more than two decades, we have provided a unique alternative to traditional substance abuse treatment.

We specialize in the treatment of individuals struggling with co-occurring disorders and dual addictions, as well as those who may benefit from strong relapse prevention curriculum. We strongly emphasize the spiritual aspects of recovery in both our non-denominational Christian 12 Step program and in our Traditional 12 Step program tract. And, we provide all of this in completely gender-separate settings. Our staff of skilled professionals administers the most sophisticated treatment available. Through lectures and individual counseling, we educate our clients on the psychological, physical and spiritual implications of long-term substance abuse. Using group counseling, individual counseling and psychotherapy, we help each client discover and effectively address emotional or psychological issues that might interfere with their recovery. And, we help each client determine and address their own unique relapse warning signs. Our staff encourages clients to establish or nurture their relationship with God. Clients may choose to participate in either our non-denominational Christian 12 Step program or our Traditional 12 Step program. In the Christian program we offer a Christ-centered, biblical approach to recovery, while in the Traditional program we present recovery based on God as the individual may understand Him (as presented in Alcoholics Anonymous). Clients requiring highly structured treatment are admitted to either our men’s or women’s Residential Inpatient Treatment program, usually for 30 days. For clients who have completed our Residential program and need the continued support of a sobriety-valued environment, we provide additional treatment in our Transitional Care program. Here clients prepare to transition into a healthy life in sobriety. Recovery plans are refined, goals are set and met and damages and issues caused by addictions are addressed. Clients enter our treatment programs with the knowledge that we have been providing outstanding treatment for over two decades and can be further comforted by our excellent credentials. We maintain an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and have earned the highest accreditation from CARF International, the primary accreditation agency for rehabilitative treatment. We are affiliated with the America Association of Christian Counselors and are an Amen Affiliated Education Center (AAEC). All of our treatment facilities are state licensed and accredited. And, we are so confident in our ability to change lives, we offer a *guarantee to those who complete treatment with us. Thousands of people suffering from alcoholism, substance abuse and various behavioral disorders seek help everyday. Finding this help can be a very frustrating experience. Our crisis response counselors at Recovery Options, our sister company, will spend the time necessary to review the treatment alternatives, whether at one of our treatment facilities or elsewhere, that will best provide you or your loved one with the help they need. Moments of Gratitude: A Series

“I’m Denna and I’m the Director of Client Care for our women’s program. I am incredibly grateful to be celebrating 25 years of sobriety. A quarter of a century without a drink is something I definitely could not have imagined in my earlier days.

Recovery gave me a life that is bigger, fuller, and a lot more meaningful than what I believe was possible. It was truly an honor to share my story at a charity event for the recovery center that once helped me get on my feet. Being able to give back and help raise funds so others, especially those who may not have the resources, can find the same path to recovery is something I never take for granted.

These days my life is filled with purpose, a great team I get to lead, my beautiful family, and the daily reminder that sobriety did not just give me my life back, it gave me a much better one than I had planned. I am grateful every day that I get to be part of helping others start their own recovery journey.”

Moments of Gratitude: A Series

“My name is Tayler, and I’m the Marketing Director at Covenant Hills. This week, I’m reflecting on the many things I’m grateful for such as my family, my community, and the beauty of God’s creation.

I’m also deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve in a role where I get to help connect people to healing. I don’t take for granted being part of a mission that supports individuals as they work through pain, trauma, and addiction to pursue transformation and recovery. Having a daily gratitude practice keeps me grounded and consistently in awe of what God can do.”

NAATP Featured in ADAW: Spirituality Reduces Risk of Hazardous Substance Use

NAATP CEO Marvin Ventrell was recently featured in Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Weekly (February 23, 2026), commenting on a new meta-analysis showing that spirituality is associated with reduced risk of hazardous alcohol and drug use. Marvin emphasized that the findings reinforce the field’s understanding of addiction as a bio-psycho-social-spiritual disease while also underscoring the importance of patient-centered recovery outcomes.

Happy Friday everyone!

Today, we want to introduce a gratitude practice for you. Please meditate on this, journal with these prompts, or send to a loved one in recovery.

"Recovery is built one day at a time. Today, I choose to pause and recognize the progress, support, and strength in my life.

Today, I am grateful for:

1. My sobriety today.
One way my life is different because I’m sober:

2. Support.
Someone, something, or a resource that helped me stay grounded:

3. Growth.
A challenge I faced or a feeling I worked through without using:

4. A moment of hope or peace.
A small win, simple joy, or sign that I’m moving forward:

5. Self-compassion.
Something I did today that I’m proud of:

Closing Reflection
Today, I honor how far I’ve come.
I didn’t get here overnight. I don't have to do everything perfectly.
I only have to stay willing, stay honest, and stay present."

Last Friday, 6 men in care at Covenant Hills were baptized.

Each of these men made a public declaration of their faith, choosing to step forward in obedience and trust. Baptism represents new life, forgiveness, and the beginning of a renewed walk with God.

Please keep these gentlemen in your prayers as they continue their journeys. Pray for strength, perseverance, and a steady foundation in their faith. Celebrations like this remind us how God is actively working in the lives of the men we serve and how meaningful it is to walk with them through transformation.

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” – Romans 6:4
