My name is Dr. Maha Nasrallah-Babenko, and I’ve been working in psychology since 2010. Because I’ve lived in countries all over the world, I’ve seen a diverse range of clients from all walks of life. The thing that ties them all together is the desire to connect freely and courageously with the people they love. Whether your struggles are with romantic vulnerability, intimacy, or something else, my focus is to help you build stronger relationships both emotionally and physically. Using meaningful conversation, my approach is geared toward identifying the heart of your struggle -- allowing you to relate with one another, overcome s*xual challenges, and increase satisfaction. I’m looking forward to speaking with you and helping with whatever you need.

I’ve been so occupied with taking care of this little one and adapting to this new life that I missed celebrating the one year anniversary of my book release yesterday! So I wanted to acknowledge and celebrate this with you all here 🥳

Also, I’ve missed you all and my clients.

This new journey has been such a wild experience, filled with all sorts of mixed emotions. The joys and wonders of being a mother, holding and looking at your own baby, seeing your partner in this new role, it’s like nothing else I’ve ever felt. Words cannot describe the depth and extent of these feelings.

And, these feelings are met with grief, sadness, anxiety, and exhaustion. The sadness surrounding the loss of parts of yourself and parts of your old life is real. It’s part of the journey to adapting and embracing this new reality. And I know it’s temporary as we slowly start to redefine our identities and lives.

So today, on Thanksgiving, I want to express my most heartfelt gratitude to , all my clients, my friends, my family, and everyone in my support system and in my life. Relationships and connection truly are one of the most important values in life, it’s what makes life meaningful.

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving filled with love and connection 💜

I am so excited to announce that our baby boy has arrived 🥰 we are all doing well, learning and adapting more each day 💙

As I embrace and honor this new chapter in our life, I am going to continue to check in with myself about how I’m feeling and when I’m ready to come back to work.

While I am thrilled to be able to take the time I need to focus on my family and really enjoy this experience, I will miss my clients immensely!

I plan to stay connected and active here, though probably less frequently, and will keep you all updated on when I will return to work.

Much love,

Maha and family

Repost from

In a weekly check-in or during everyday conversation, taking turns can help you both feel truly heard and understood. It's a pattern of conversation that can be tough if you're not used to it, so using a script can be helpful.

It’s 🌸 such an important topic that I believe is not known enough. So many women suffer in silence and feel alone. If there’s one message I’d like to spread today, it’s that you don’t have to continue to suffer - there is help out there and this condition is treatable.

If you’re looking for a resource to learn more about how to treat vaginismus, check out my book (link in bio). Anyone from s*x therapists and s*x therapy trainees, to women suffering from vaginismus could benefit from this book. I hope it helps 🙏🏻💕

Couldn’t have said it better! 🤣

One thing I often suggest to clients is to replace the word “should” in their mind with “want”. Saying “I want” versus “I should” gives you a much better sense of what it is you really want as opposed to what you are doing out of guilt or pressure.

Yes, there are things we need to get done in life, not everything is enjoyable or exciting. And even in those situations, I still believe that reframing it in a way where we WANT to do it because it’s important to us feels much better than being resentful about it.

I’d invite you to try it out and see what comes up for you 💗

Our Story

Our relationships are one of the most crucial determinants of longevity and health. So while you are out there investing time in, spending money on, every other part of your life, don’t neglect the most significant one. Think about it. Your life is most likely comprised of your career, family/relationship, social life, and interests. I would assume that your partner is one of the most important people in your life, and yet other than spending some time together, how much are you paying attention to your relationship?

We spend months, years sometimes, and thousands of dollars earning a degree for our career, what makes you think relationships are any different? Well, hopefully, they won’t cost you that much money! But my point is that just like we learn how to be better at our jobs, which form a large chunk of our lives, we need to learn how to be better partners so that the remaining parts of our life can be healthy and fulfilling too.

My biggest wish is that more people would build a stronger foundation and address issues sooner so that they prevent them from accumulating and leading to resentment and contempt. You CAN have the relationship you want if you are willing to invest your time and energy in nurturing it. As Benjamin Franklin so wisely said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.

About to get married? Or already in a relationship? Get someone to help you find the answers to your questions and guide you through learning how to be the best partner you can be. Whether you want to work through some of your concerns or questions, or simply learn skills together to start your relationship off right, I highly recommend speaking with us by phone at +1 949-201-6393 or via email therapywithdrmaha@gmail.com.
