Hello South OC, I need your help!

My name is Tiffany Sandoval , a certified neuromuscular massage therapist with over 13 years experience & solo practitioner of OC Triathlete Massage

I am looking for 9-12 people who have been experiencing stiffness/pain in the neck, back, or hips and need support in reducing pain, improving range of motion, or just getting back to the things they love.

Why?
I am newly certified in FST Level 2- Neuromyofascial Tissue Mobility through Stretch to Win Institute the GOLD standard in the assisted stretch therapy industry.

I will be offering science-driven & effective stretch therapy, in addition to Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue, Myoskeletal Alignment, Lymphatic & Sports massage, for the relief of pain and injury recovery.

I would like to fine-tune my practice, collect statistics, and get feedback on your experience so I can deliver the best pain relief and support possible.

What does FST do?
FST targets neuromyofascial tissue – the connective tissue found throughout the body that surrounds muscles, bones, joints, and other internal organs. Through gentle traction and flow of movement, FST provides optimal results in mobility, pain management, restoring impaired function, and optimizing athletic performance. FST is an effective and pain-free method of assisted stretching

For those who are interested and able, I am offering a generous discount on a package of three services in exchange for your participation and feedback.

Here’s what you get:
- A 45-minute upper body stretch session to address neck and shoulder pain (This includes consultation to gather information/health history)
- A 45-minute lower body stretch session to decrease lower body pain and improve range of motion
- A 90-minute full body comprehensive stretch—take-home stretches to continue care after therapy after each session.

This 3 session package is valued at $500. I’ll soon be offering it to the public at an introductory price of $425. Those who participate in this initial offer pay only $375.

Boxers often need trigger point massage therapy for several reasons:

Muscle tension: The repetitive motions involved in boxing can lead to muscle tension and tightness, which can cause pain and limit mobility. Massage therapy can help relieve muscle tension and improve flexibility.
Improved recovery: Boxing is a high-impact sport that puts a lot of stress on the muscles and joints. Massage therapy can help improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and speed up recovery after a fight or training session.
Prevention of injury: By addressing trigger points, massage therapy can help prevent the development of new injuries and reduce the risk of recurring pain.
Improved performance: Massage therapy can help improve range of motion and flexibility, leading to improved performance in the ring.
Overall, trigger point massage therapy is an important part of a boxer's overall training regimen, helping to keep them healthy, pain-free, and performing at their best

Meet the muscle causing your low back pain QL & Posas

QL” stands for quadratus Lumborum, muscles that are located on both sides of your spine between your ribcage and pelvis. These muscles help with the movement of your lower back, but also help to support your spine. QL pain can be described as a dull, aching pain which can become sharp at times from specific movements. Sometimes considered “the joker” of lower back pain, it is often overlooked as the main cause of the pain, with other lower back structures taking the blame.

It is very common for the QL muscle to become tight and overactive, this is because it is compensating for other weak muscles around the area.

It can also become tight due to repetitive movement – such as twisting, bending or lifting improperly – all of which puts added stress on the muscle. As the muscle becomes tighter it can develop trigger points in the area. Trigger points are tight bands of muscle which can lead to pain.

What does an inflamed psoas feel like?
A deep aching pain felt in the front of your hip (in the crease of your hip). A clicking or clunking sensation or sound when flexing your hip (lifting your knee up). Sharp pain with sitting and standing, especially after prolonging sitting.

Does Vagus Nerve Massage Work?

💆‍♀️ Targeted vagus nerve massages of the neck and shoulder area have been shown to improve vagal tone.

💆‍♂️ Better vagal tone has been associated with improved physical health, mental health, cardiovascular functioning, immunity, and digestive function.

💆 Unlike what you might think, a vagus nerve massage doesn’t directly massage the vagus nerve. Rather, it is a massage of areas that are in close proximity to the vagus nerve. Vagus nerve massage is a form of vagus nerve stimulation, which helps improve vagal tone (another term for vagus nerve functioning).

The vagus nerve plays an important role in communication between the brain and other organs, including the
lungs, heart, and gut.

What is the vagus nerve ?

It is the 10th cranial nerve, extending from the brainstem all the way down to the gastrointestinal tract It is involved with regulating everything from digestion, to hormone production (such as our stress hormone cortisol,) as well as emotions and our heartbeat and breathing.

Which Muscles Are Used in Running?

When you run, your muscles propel you in a forward motion. It’s not just your legs doing the work. Your entire body is engaged in your running effort.‌

At the beginning of your stride, when your foot hits the ground, your quadriceps – the large muscles on the front of your thigh – are doing most of the work.

As your body moves forward, the effort shifts into your gastrocnemius muscles. These are on the upper back of your calf

Research shows that arms don’t add to your forward motion. But your arms are busy counterbalancing the momentum of your lower half.

Most running injuries come from overuse & lack of muscles /fascia release or maintenance . Injuries such as :
’s knee. You may have pain from your kneecap rubbing on your thigh bone.

Achilles tendon pain. This is pain that runs from your heel up to the bottom part of your calf. This area may be stiff or overworked from the repetitive motion of running.

Shin splints. The force of your feet hitting the ground may drive pain up the front of your legs. Shin splints are usually caused by inflammation when you don’t allow your body to rest. ‌
