Today, there is so much chaos in the world.
We see it on our phones, even in the moments when we’re simply trying to unwind. It can feel overwhelming.
Remaining rooted in daily prayer helps quiet the noise, easing anxiety and restoring peace to our hearts.
The Prayer for Peace by Saint Francis of Assisi offers us the words we often struggle to find — guiding us in how to seek God’s peace and become instruments of His love in distressing times.
May this prayer lead us to be bearers of light, hope, and charity in a world that needs it now more than ever.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace
where there is hatred, let me sow love
where there is injury, pardon
where there is doubt, faith
where there is despair, hope
where there is darkness, light
where there is sadness, joy
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
