Incredible night celebrating two amazing people in our profession. One whom has put his heart and soul into podiatry on a state and national level Dr. Jeff DeSantis and one whom is already a rising star advocating for equity in health care Madeleine Nagle, DPM ’28. I love seeing how well they represent our professional in their own unique ways. That’s what makes PODIATRY so special: our ability to advocate for our patients in every aspect of healthcare.

Cannot praise and their president for putting on such an amazing Spring Brunch today!!! It is so refreshing and empowering to see how much impact these students are already making in this profession bringing people together and creating a space for women to share their stories. It’s amazing to be sitting next to students I’ve mentored whom are now residents empowering the next generation alongside women who have helped mentor me and shaped the leader I am today.

CPMA LLC is back at our state capitol advocating and pushing forward California Podiatric Podiatric Pipeline Program. Appreciate meeting and getting to know our legislators to help us pass and author bills that help our profession and protect our patients!!! A year ago I wore a pink suite to my first House of Delegates. This year the 2026 APMA House dressed in PINK - supporting WOMEN IN PODIATRY.

Thank you to everyone that supported this and made this happen: All these trailblazing women left a path wide open to help my little dream a reality this past Saturday.

What went from “How cool would it be…” to everyone actually doing it is the ultimate reward. Seeing people excited about it and inspiring other ways to celebrate each other was the most amazing part of it. I couldn’t have asked for a more encouraging inspiring moment. It was unifying, acknowledgement, comforting to see how uplifting it was.

Thank you to EVERYONE even if you pulled out a splash of pink in your tie, pocket square, socks: it meant everything for everyone to be apart of this. Thank you @

Extremely grateful for the acknowledgment gave as a rising star this year along with two other amazing young physicians from Texas and Louisiana. It truly is inspiring to see how much we all do for this profession we love. I look forward to cultivating the relationships built here. It will take all of us to support, encourage, resolve one another before we can continue to move the needle forward. It takes no effort to build each other up. I’m excited to see what this new generation of leaders will do.

Extremely humbled for being honored with The Spirit of the Volunteer Award. The real reward is the opportunity The Order of Malta and St. Vincent De Paul has allowed me to give back to the community with our free podiatry clinic and work with so many amazing people. Being able to keep people on their feet so they can do what they need to do is what makes the profession of podiatry so special.

Happy National Women’s Physicians Day!!! I am so grateful for all these supportive amazing WOMEN that I have had the pleasure of learning, growing and creating with. No matter what stage of your life you’re in…WE ARE IN YOUR CORNER. Rooting for you, celebrating you, admiring and cherishing one another.
