This past week, we proudly partnered with VSP Vision Care’s Eyes of Hope program and Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, Inc. to bring a free vision clinic to San Luis Obispo. The turnout was truly inspiring, with community members showing up in great numbers (260!!!) to receive eye exams and glasses. Thanks to this collaboration, individuals who may otherwise go without vision care were able to access high-quality services at no cost. We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and the opportunity to make such a meaningful impact in our community.

A huge shout-out to South Bay Seniors People Helping People for their incredible Needs 'N Wishes efforts. This year, they raised their largest total ever, providing over $45,000 to both CAPSLO’s 40 Prado and the SLO Noor Foundation.

These funds provide essential shelter, warm meals, and path-to-housing services for our neighbors experiencing homelessness at CAPSLO's 40 Prado and at SLO Noor this contribution ensures that uninsured members of our community continue to receive high-quality medical, dental, and vision care at no cost.

This is what "People Helping People" looks like in real life. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this historic milestone. You are changing lives!

Who We Are

When Dr. Ahmad Nooristani opened the SLO Noor Clinic in 2011, he had a single mission in mind: to provide quality healthcare to those who had no other options. We still uphold that mission today, offering a variety of healthcare services to Central Coast residents without insurance. And because of the dedication and hard work of Nooristani and our medical staff and administration, we’re changing lives.

At the SLO Noor Foundation, we understand the obstacles and challenges the uninsured face in our community when trying to receive the non-emergent care they need. The Foundation works to benefit our community as a whole by recognizing and finding solutions for the growing number of uninsured adults residing in our neighborhoods, an increasing risk of poor health conditions impacted by the lack of insurance, and the prevalence of the low-income and homeless in need of medical care.

In order to continue providing medical, vision, and dental care to our uninsured locals, we rely on the generous volunteer work of community doctors and dentists as well as the continued support and donations from other community members. We believe that the lack of decent medical care in the Central Coast is a difficult and serious problem we face as a community, but it’s not an impossible one. Together, we can provide our uninsured locals with the quality healthcare that everyone deserves. Learn more at slonoorfoundation.org.
