SLO Noor Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of our former Medical Clinic Manager, Barbara Alarcon, as Executive Director. Barbara has been a dedicated member of the SLO Noor team for 5 years, demonstrating strong leadership, commitment, and a deep passion for serving our community.

We are confident that under her guidance, SLO Noor Foundation will continue to grow and strengthen its impact. We look forward to the continued excellence she will bring to our clinics in this new role!

Following the success of the Needs N Wishes fundraiser in December, South Bay Seniors People Helping People has made an extraordinarily meaningful donation in support of our mission. We are deeply honored and are sincerely grateful to have been selected, alongside CAPSLO, as a beneficiary of this special holiday event each year. Their continued generosity makes a lasting impact on the communities we serve.

This past week, we proudly partnered with VSP Vision Care’s Eyes of Hope program and Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, Inc. to bring a free vision clinic to San Luis Obispo. The turnout was truly inspiring, with community members showing up in great numbers (260!!!) to receive eye exams and glasses. Thanks to this collaboration, individuals who may otherwise go without vision care were able to access high-quality services at no cost. We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and the opportunity to make such a meaningful impact in our community.

A huge shout-out to South Bay Seniors People Helping People for their incredible Needs 'N Wishes efforts. This year, they raised their largest total ever, providing over $45,000 to both CAPSLO’s 40 Prado and the SLO Noor Foundation.

These funds provide essential shelter, warm meals, and path-to-housing services for our neighbors experiencing homelessness at CAPSLO's 40 Prado and at SLO Noor this contribution ensures that uninsured members of our community continue to receive high-quality medical, dental, and vision care at no cost.

This is what "People Helping People" looks like in real life. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this historic milestone. You are changing lives!
