Big win for sustainability at French Hospital! We've earned the Practice Greenhealth 2025 Environmental Excellence Award, thanks to our rooftop water heater project! ☀️
Led by Eric Ruelas, Manager of Facilities Management, this project has:
Reduced water usage by 27% 💧
Cut electricity usage by 15% ⚡️
Decreased natural gas consumption by over 15% 🔥

The Hearst Cancer Resource Center is an incredibly important service for all of our community members fighting cancer.

French Hospital’s Hearst Cancer Resource Center (HCRC) offers more than 30 life-changing services to the community at no charge—including an Appearance Center. Local cancer patients can try on—and take home—wigs and head coverings or learn about brows and skincare. Licensed Esthetician Nancy Bracewell (pictured), a volunteer, will hold walk-in hours for established HCRC patients on Wednesday, August 6, and Friday, August 22, from 10:30 am to 1 pm. Nancy is also available by appointment. To request an appointment with Nancy, or to receive other free services and support, call the HCRC at 805.542.6234.
