We’re excited to welcome Audie Sherberg to The Villages of San Luis Obispo family as our new Executive Director. Originally from Seattle, Audie is a graduate of Washington State University, where he earned his degree in Hotel & Restaurant Administration. He brings over 40 years of management experience in the Hospitality & Assisted Living industries—including corporate, franchise, independent, and regional roles—along with a passion for creating warm, well-run retirement communities.
In his new role, Audie will oversee the daily operations at both Sydney Creek Memory Care and Garden Creek Assisted Living. Known for his genuine curiosity about people, he loves learning residents’ stories, connecting with their families, and fostering a vibrant, supportive community where everyone feels valued and heard.
Outside of work, Audie has been married to his wife, Mirna, for 34 years, and have two children, Michael and Christina. At home, he enjoys the company of two dogs, tending to his garden, and filling their home with music and guitar.
As Audie likes to say, “If I was any better, I don’t know what I would do with myself.”
