The providers of the FAC believe the key to living a life with ADHD includes not just solutions through medication, but also a transformation in other areas of life such as; sleep, nutrition, connection to self, others, and nature. Founded by Dr. Janet Flaton in spring of 2011, the Center provides top notch, state-of-the-art, and comprehensive care in a collaborative environment integrating conventional and holistic modalities. It is the FAC's intention to empower children with ADHD and their families to live extraordinary lives. The FAC believes there is no “one” definition of ADHD. That ADHD actually shows up in many aspects of life and has a spectrum of symptoms. For these reasons, there is no “one” course of treatment for ADHD. The FAC recognizes ADHD to be a diagnosis of great gifts, in some contexts, and impairments in others. Instead of focusing on “what is wrong” with ADHD, patients are given the opportunity to disregard their “disorder” as something negative and are encouraged to behold the gifts within their diagnosis. Together, our providers work together with the patient to discuss treatment goals and create an individualized treatment plan to empower each patient to live the life they want.
