Because of GB, this past week three communities in Honduras were able to receive the necessary medical attention, dental care, clean water, and ecostoves they were lacking. “I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel to Honduras and volunteer in a temporary medical clinic, help construct a new water system, and build ecostoves in the rural communities of Chichigua, La Presa, and Suyapa. I learned so much, not just about medicine, but also about the power of genuine compassion, faith, gratitude, and community. Thank you to everyone at Global Brigades and all the incredible people I got to work alongside for making this trip unforgettable! 🇭🇳❤️”

Our first highlight will be from one of our Brigaders, Vanessa!

“I’m so blessed that I had the opportunity to go on a Medical Brigade to Honduras. Being half Honduran I was even more grateful that I could give back and help out my own people. Within the past week I got to set up a medical and dental clinic, helped out in digging trenches so a community would be able to have clean water, and build an ecostove for a small family. Along this journey I met so many people who were so kind and welcomed us with open arms. I can’t wait to go on another brigade with 🇭🇳❤️❤️”

Hi everyone! We will be having our first meeting of the quarter THIS THURSDAY from 11-12pm in 14-246! We will be talking about our recent Brigade to Honduras and will be showing a presentation and video on our experience. Come if you’re interested at all in traveling next year but anyone is welcome! Hey everyone! We will be having our next meeting this Friday from 11-12! We will be doing an overview of what our club is and what traveling entails for anyone who is new to us! Our next fundraiser is now going on! These are Jamba Juice cards that have 6 buy one get one free coupons on them, and you can buy them for $12. They work for any size smoothie, juice or bowl so it’s a great deal and you’re saving around $40 per card you buy. If you’re interested in buying one for yourself or selling some to others, message us and we can get you some cards! The money will go towards our donation pool for our trip!
