No one is prepared for our parent’s aging process! Each one of our journey’s is different but there is help out there.

My Dad went to sleep with “indigestion”.. and never woke up-he was only 69. I learned later he was complaining of chest pain. A part of me was grateful that I never had to watch him age.. my mom, lived to be 96- her journey wasnt too bad -she suffered more watching everyone die before her..

We have a patient currently whose grandchild has been caring for a grandparent-as the grandparent becomes more fragile and care becomes more intimate-the grandchild has reverted to frustration and irritation. In my opinion, this grandchild just can’t cope with the aging process.

My goal for a family, no matter where they are on this aging journey, is to hold their hand, reminisce about old times, share memories that will be lost with them when they are gone. Hire a reputable home health agency like BrightStar to do the intimate tasks of living. RN supervision is key to creating an individual Plan of Care (POC). Family can be family. Show them the love you feel.

A Nurse on Your Side With BrightStar Care, your loved one’s home care from day one is supervised by a Registered Nurse. A nurse on your side means you have someone to explain what’s normal and what isn’t, answer questions and ensure your loved one gets the care that’s right for them.

No two people are alike. We honor that. From round-the-clock care to just a few hours a week, we create a plan of care that works for you and your budget.

Meet your caregiver. Your BrightStar Care® nurse helps select the right caregiver for your loved one.
