Last week, I had the honor of co-leading my first drumming circle. I’ve been feeling lit up and full-hearted ever since. Being part of a heart-centered community and holding space for ceremony truly makes my heart sing.

At the same time, stepping into the spotlight feels deeply vulnerable. But I know, without a doubt, that this is my path forward.

I shared a chant I recently learned from Walking Crow (see video). Just before I began, I felt my throat tightening, like it wanted to close. In that moment, I reminded myself: I’m not performing. I’m not singing for others. I’m sharing healing, connection, and embodiment. Thank you for helping me see that.

This was the first time this particular group had gathered. After we chanted, someone shared how deeply connected he felt to everyone in the circle. That’s the power of the drum and of chanting — they weave us together.

That sense of connection and community is exactly what I’m here to help create.

Last November, I joined a seriously magical trade school for the healing and intuitive arts, called , that is run by two of my teachers, and .
And over the course of the past 8 months, I’ve activated my healer’s archetype and I’ve aligned more powerfully with my soul’s magic. I also get to spend so much time in a community of women that is deeply connective and nourishing.
During my time in Kairos, I have healed so much, grown so much, and learned a ton. I’ve discovered things about myself that surprise me. And most importantly I’ve made connections with other women on a deep level.

Have you ever felt an emotion but can't really explain where it came from? Or you wake up “on the wrong side of the bed” for no apparent reason?

Everything is made up of energy! We are made of energy. Our emotions are made of energy. We are like energy sponges and if we are not aware of this, we can absorb energies from all around us. In the fall, I joined a healer’s academy in which we were asked to observe our energy. I’ve known for a long time that I absorb other people’s energy or mood but it wasn’t until I made it a daily practice that I noticed how easily and frequently I was picking up other people’s energy.

Think about it this way… You are walking and a person walking by gives you the warmest smile and says hello. That simple gesture can bring you joy. That simple gesture carries energy that is transmitted to you. This transmission of energy happens all the time! We might just not be aware of it.

I would love to teach you a super simple meditation to help you come back to you so you don’t absorb other people’s energies. When you are filled with love and are grounded it is more difficult to absorb “negative” or constricting energies. It only takes a few minutes and you can use it throughout the day.

🧘‍♀️Meditation to come back to your energy 🥰

Find a comfortable seat. Take deep whole body breaths. Now imagine a little light in your heart center. You can give this light a color. You can imagine it or whatever color comes to mind. Don’t overthink it! Every time you inhale imagine the light growing in diameter and expanding in your body. Let the light infuse into your body. After a few breaths, allow the light to expand beyond your body into your aura or electromagnetic field. Again, let the color/light infuse your surroundings. Now explore how you feel.

👉🏼Options: you can infuse it with a mantra of your choice or you use one of my favorites. It’s a kundalini mantra - Ong sang wahe guru. You can choose to listen to this mantra or you can say it outloud. This mantra means the loving energy of the universe vibrates in every cell of my being.

If you have never chanted before, I know that it may feel very awkward but I invite you to stay curious and see how it affects your energy. Our own voices are calibrated to be one of the most healing sounds. Saying a mantra may help you to stay focused on what you are doing.

It’s my birthday!! 🥳

For a long time when I thought of my birthdays I had mixed feelings. 🤔 Sure I’ve had great birthdays but I’ve also had difficult birthdays. Even as a child, something would always seem to go wrong on my birthday or at my parties. I still remember my 9th or 10th birthday and I found out that MY crush had a crush on my best friend. That devastated me and I locked myself in a room and cried. The tragedy of a young broken heart 💔

A few years ago, I was reflecting back and I finally noticed the pattern! 🤩 I was determining my worth according to how much love and attention I received from others on my birthday. Coming to that realization totally changed the way I view my birthday. After working on this pattern, I now see my birthday as a celebration of I’m a new way.
I want to celebrate! 🎉🥳 I want to look at my accomplishments- small and big. I want to see how much I've grown. I want to see how much more I've loved. I want to see how much I've forgiven myself and others. I want to see how much I've reached out to somebody else. I want to see how many more smiles I've brought to other people

Because of all the learning I’ve done, I know that my worth comes from within. (yes, sometimes I forget) Nothing determines my worth. I was born worthy!! 😍We all are! 😍 We are pure miracles just for coming into this world! We are the gift. 🎁 We are all here for a reason. It could be as small as bringing smiles to those we love or changing the course of history. For now, I’m happy to know that I’m here to enjoy being in nature and I am here to love and support those around me.
