Making eye contact to thank you to Momentum Equine Sports Therapy] for my PEMF treatment yesterday. Some people had questions so I’m going to answer the two most frequent ones… “can it be done for humans”. Yes.

The other question was “Where could I get a machine for myself.” The machines are typically purchased by practitioners, so they’re pretty expensive. We had a practitioner come to our home.

The company MagnaWave] has a link where you can look for practitioners in your area if you’d like to get treatment for your pet, horse or yourself.

It’s so satisfying being able to help the rider AND horse. Stephanie was relieved of neck pain after this session. She had limited range of motion prior to using PEMF, afterwards, she had full range of motion. Jewel, as you can see, was letting out many releases during her bodywork session. Prior to this, Stephanie said that she NEVER yawns. This might be a new habit for her 😊

Does your horse smile?

The Flehmen [ fley-muhn ] Response is the act of extending the head and neck while curling the upper lip.

The purpose of this response is so that animals can communicate by collecting pheromones and other scents into their vomeronasal organ.

Reasons for this act include:
💫 When stallions are near a mare that is in heat or after smelling a mare's urine
💫 New/different odors- urine, f***s, new feed/supplements
💫 Abdominal discomfort, colic
💫 Stress or anxiety
💫 Relaxation after work or a stressful event

In this horse’s case, he performs the flehmen’s response when he is begging for treats or during a massage session as a release! If this is not a normal behavior for your horse and it is accompanied by other behaviors, consult with your veterinarian.

I had the pleasure of working on little miss Ginger at . She’s in her 20’s and her feet look much better now, than when she came in 🥹. It’s a wonderful thing, what this rescue does, and I feel very grateful to give back and give this mare some comfort 🥰
