Rainy days don’t just affect your plans, they can impact your vision, too. 🌧️ Wet roads, glare, and low visibility can make driving more difficult, while extra time indoors often means more screen use (and more eye strain).

If you’ve noticed headaches, fatigue, or trouble seeing clearly, it may be time for an exam.

Stay safe and proactive 👁️ your vision matters in every season.

Flashes can appear as flashing lights or lightning streaks in your field of vision and can occur on and off. Floaters appear as small lines or cobwebs in your field of vision, and while they seem to be in your central vision, they are floating around your eyes.

Most flashes and floaters aren’t severe, but you should contact your eye doctor right away if:

- You notice many new floaters
- You have an increased amount of flashes
- A shadow appears in your peripheral vision
- A gray curtain covers part of your vision

These symptoms may signal retinal detachment and should be treated quickly. We know eye problems can be challenging to deal with, at CTEC we aim to make it efficient and stress-free as possible for our patients.

Do headlights seem too bright when driving at night? 🚗✨

If you notice glare, halos, or starbursts around lights, it may be a sign that your prescription needs updating, or that your lenses could benefit from anti-reflective coating.

Anti-reflective lenses help reduce glare and improve clarity, making night driving more comfortable and safer.

Screens are part of everyday life for kids, but healthy habits can help protect their vision. 👀💻

At CTEC we encourage parents to build simple routines that support growing eyes:

✅ Follow the 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds
✅ Keep screens at arm’s length and slightly below eye level
✅ Encourage good posture while using devices
✅ Balance screen time with outdoor play and activities

Small changes can make a big difference in keeping young eyes comfortable and healthy. Book a pediatric eye exam today to make sure your child’s vision is on track! https://ctectx.com/service/childrens-eye-exams/
