Hello Everyone!

We’re so excited to welcome Dr. Chelsea Iverach to our veterinary team! Dr. Iverach graduated from the University of Sydney in 2020 and has a special interest in emergency and urgent care medicine. She is passionate about helping pets feel better when they need it most and enjoys working closely with pet owners to ensure they understand their pet’s health and treatment options.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Iverach loves spending time outdoors—whether hiking, horseback riding, working in her garden, or enjoying the California coast with her husband, Ty, and their fur baby, Mickey.

This adventurous girl recently broke her leg after having way too much fun😅

Luckily, we got her in right away! Ruby had a successful fracture repair with our board certified surgeon and is cruising through recovery with her weekly splints. She’s handling everything like a champ and doing better every week! 🐶❤️

🐾 Meet Peewee!

Sweet little Peewee came to us with some serious dental disease — his poor mouth was full of infection, and he even had a painful dental abscess 😢.

Dental disease is incredibly common in dogs (especially the smaller breeds), and it can cause pain, infection, and even affect the heart, liver, and kidneys if left untreated.
After a thorough exam and dental X-rays, we found that most of Peewee’s teeth were beyond saving. So, we performed a full dental procedure and extracted all the infected, painful teeth.

Peewee is now feeling so much better! We can tell he’s relieved to be pain-free. ❤️

A little dental health tip:
Regular dental care — like tooth brushing, dental chews, and yearly vet checkups — can make a huge difference for your pet’s comfort and overall health. Don’t ignore bad breath or drooling — it might be a sign of dental disease!

The cutest deaf pup named Kilian came to us for a digit amputation due to a malformed toe. 🐾
He was the bravest boy and even showed off his sign language skills while he was here! 🐶

We’re totally in love with him and his spooky fit (seriously, he’s SO freaking cute🎃), and we’re so proud of our awesome vet and team for taking such great care of him. 🖤

Feel better soon, Kilian!🎃🕸️👻

Our friend Nugget had a little too much fun and ended up tearing his cruciate ligament! Thankfully, his owners brought him to San Marcos Blvd Vet, where he had a successful TPLO surgery to repair his knee. 🦴💪 (we think he’s still getting used to his bandage🤭)

What’s TPLO?
It’s a specialized surgery that stabilizes the knee after a torn ligament — one of the best options for active dogs like Nugget!
He’s now healing at home and getting lots of love from his family ❤️🐶

If your pup is limping or avoiding putting weight on their back leg, we’re here to help!

Everyone say hello to Gabrielle!🩶

This sweet little pup came in struggling to breathe — scary for her and her owners. After a thorough exam and diagnostics, we discovered she had pneumonia. But thanks to some oxygen therapy, the right meds, and some love from our staff, Gabrielle perked right up! 🐾

She’s now breathing easy, stealing hearts, and proving that she’s one tough puppy.
Huge shoutout to our amazing veterinary team — always ready to step in and save the day (and snuggle the patients afterward, of course). 🐶

Did you know?
Pneumonia in puppies can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or even aspiration (when something gets into the lungs that shouldn’t). Signs to watch for include:
* Coughing or wheezing
* Rapid or difficult breathing
* Lethargy
* Poor appetite
Early treatment is key — and that’s where our amazing vet team steps in. 🙌💙
