We always appreciate a good hematoma case .. even when they do get messy 🤭

It's a relief for us knowing that we are also bringing relief to our patients by draining the hematoma 👂🩸

Cutie boy Fitz did amazingly well, and we appreciate the after care his owner did by keeping the cone on and making sure Fitz ear healed up beautifully! 🐶🩶

Sweet little Amaya gave her owner a scare this week- she had a foxtail stuck in her eye!😱 - ouch. But thanks to Dr. Bowdre and our amazing veterinary team we were able to remove it without any complications. Foxtails might look harmless but they can cause serious issues, especially for curious dogs like Amaya who love sniffing around. 🐶🐕 We are here for urgent situations like this! We always accept walk-ins and emergencies- we’ve got you💙🤍🩶

Our little friend Beans thought this sock was a snack😬- but swallowing things like this can be very dangerous for our pets! Thankfully, due to the help of the staff and Dr. Bowdre, Beans is all back to herself💜🐶 Remember to keep socks, small toys, and other tempting items out of paws reach!

🔥 heat awareness for dogs 🔥

It's that time of the year again when heat advisories are being issued for us , which means it's time to be EXTRA cautious with our fur babies 🐶

Heatstrokes are a serious emergency that can happen within minutes

We were able to provide immediate care for a heatstroke patient today.
This is just a reminder that our dogs are just as vulnerable as we are to heat advisories.

Please remember to:
✔️ Provide fresh & cool water 💧
✔️ When walking your dogs, pick cooler times like early mornings or later in the evenings (checking the hot pavement with the back of your hand. If its too hot for you, then it's too hot for their paws) 🐾
✔️ Provide cooling options for your dogs - cooling mats, fans, or frozen treats 🧊

Together, we can help keep our pets safe, cool, and comfortable this summer ☀️

Are you considering spaying your dog?

We think that's a great idea! Getting your dog spayed is important for their long-term health and can prevent a life-threatening uterine infection, like pyometra.

Some of the signs your dogs might experience are lethargy, thick green v***a discharge, vomiting, and not wanting to eat. 🤢

Peach 🍑 here presented to us with those exact symptoms, which required her to have pyomtera surgery.
During this surgery, the infected uterus and ovaries are removed.

With the help of our amazing doctors and staff, we were able to help this cutie go back to feeling so much better. ❤️

The last slide shows us checking her incision site 🙂 and we are happy to report that she has had a great recovery from this surgery.

If you have any questions or concerns about getting your dog spayed , please dont hesitate to reach out to us.🐕🩺

Meet Teddy 🧸

Teddy presented to us back in April as a transfer for an abdominal exploratory surgery 😷
During the procedure , we discovered that Teddy had ingested a significant amount of his chew toy!
Thankfully, we were able to successfully remove the foreign material 😊
Teddy came back to see us 2 weeks later for his post - op check up and we are happy to report that he is doing great at home!
Our team is so happy that we were able to help Teddy and his family 🧸🤎

⚠️The following images show what was found during surgery! ⚠️

Our courageous girl Claire presented to us back in February after getting her head stuck in a fence. She had a dramatic, severe laceration to almost the full circumference of her neck ☹️

After multiple surgeries, a month of daily, sedated bandage changes and heaps of love and care from our team Claire made a full recovery and has returned to normal 💓

Her owner is beyond happy to have her Claire back to normal and relieved to be finished with all the bandaging and wound care that was required!

Claire is a true fighter ! 💪

Who said vet visits can't be fun? 🤔

Sweet girl Dixie came to see us for her annual heartworm test so that she can safely continue to stay on her flea and heartworm preventative 🪱💉

While her test was being ran in house, she got treats & lots of cuddles from our amazing team ❤️

It's safe to say she left here feeling all the love and feeling like such a brave girl 🐕💗
