We have possible dates for therapist camp! I am planning this retreat for Tybee Island, GA, and it is for therapists only. This retreat will offer 8-12 CEU’s as well, making this a great way to learn and get away.

You may remember me posting a video late last year about creating a therapists' cooperative retreat. I really am moving towards cooperation and collaboration as the antidote to burnout. This type of retreat would allow us to keep costs very low, while learning from each other and connecting. You could control much of the expense of your retreat by purchasing your own flight, relaxing on site instead of doing activities, and purchasing your own dinners at area restaurants we will go to. I lived in Savannah from 2008- 2012, and have spent about 85 days total there in the last 2 years. I can make this as low key or bougie as we want to get. We will focus on the island as our main point of R&R, but will also dedicate time to going into Savannah.
Basic info:
- YOU are responsible for your flight to Savannah/ Hilton Head (SAV) airport. It is about 45min from the airport to the house we have in mind.
- It will be hurricane season, so purchase trip insurance.
- We will rent a vehicle for transporting from the airport and around town, and give you two times that we will make a pickup run. Otherwise you would also have to Uber to the house.
- Cost would be split evenly between all of us (Max 10 attendees). It is not my goal to make this retreat profitable for me. In my mind, we are all cooperating in efforts, therefore there is no lead facilitator to compensate.
- I can either create a base ticket price that only includes minimum costs, or I can create an all inclusive ticket price. I could also create a price that allows for you to have a private room. What would you prefer?
A. Base price would be lodging (4 day/ 3 night), airport transport, all breakfasts on site, all lunches on site- about $650
B. All inclusive price includes all of base price amenities, plus 2 offsite activities and 2 dinners- about $850
- I would ask that every attendee be willing to cooperate in bearing the load by being willing to:
A. present on a topic they are highly skilled and knowledgeable about
- OR -
B. help organize/ coordinate (set up breakfast/ activities & break down/ set up spaces for learning, marketing beforehand, presenter selection
