Hello itβs been a while since I have introduced myself.
My name is Arwa and I am originally from Mumbai, India. I currently live in Texas with my husband and 2 kids. I am a physical therapist and extremely passionate about helping older adults overcome their fear of falling so that they can continue to live an active and a healthy lifestyle. Also providing support to their family members and caregivers.
I lost my maternal grandma (I called her Nani) who I was extremely close to at a very early age of 65 years due to multiple health problems. Since then I consider "our health" to be one of the greatest gifts we can have and that is why I take these 3 things very seriously
1. Exercise-I move my body for 30 to 45 mins everyday. On the weekends this includes running in the park with my kids or going for stroller walks.
2. Sleep-I strive to get at least 7 hours of sleep in 24 hours.
3. Nutrition-We are currently living in a world where access to ultra processed food is very easy. I love geeking out on labels and looking at ingredients and figuring out a safe swap for snacks, food etc. I also include a lot of raw food in my diet.
I also love trying different outdoor activities and have tried Ziplining, Deep Sea diving, Snorkeling, Rafting, Skydiving, Rope River walking. Next thing on my list is Bungee Jumping.
I consider myself as an introvert and do well in a small group setting and enjoy making deep connections. I also enjoy alone time with a book or Netflix or a good podcast. Currently listening to the Model Health Show and loving it.
