๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ“Š NAVIGATING OUR FUTURE ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒŠโœจ๏ธ

โ€ผ๏ธ For too long, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander communities have been left out of the data โ€” making our ๐Ÿ“– stories, needs, and ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ strengths invisible in conversations that shape โš–๏ธ policy, ๐Ÿ’ฒ funding and ๐Ÿฉป health๐Ÿฉบ outcomes.

Thatโ€™s why the UCLA Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Data Policy Lab at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research has been doing transformative work alongside NHPI communities to close data gaps, strengthen community power, and ensure our people are finally seen in the numbers. ๐ŸŒดโœจ

โœŠ๐Ÿพ Join us on Thursday, May 28 as the UCLA NHPI Data Policy Lab unveils its NEW & IMPROVED NHPI Social Determinants of Health Dashboard โ€” featuring county-level data that helps tell the story of our communities through:

๐Ÿ“ Demographics
๐Ÿ“ Disability
๐Ÿ“ Economic Indicators
๐Ÿ“ Education
๐Ÿ“ Health
๐Ÿ“ Housing
๐Ÿ“ Veteran Status

๐Ÿ“Š Using data from CHIS, the American Community Survey, and the U.S. Census, select topics can also be explored by NHPI subgroup, including:

๐ŸŒบ CHamorro
๐ŸŒบ Fijian
๐ŸŒบ Native Hawaiian
๐ŸŒบ Samoan
๐ŸŒบ Tongan

This powerful webinar will also feature community voices in action:

โœจ โ€˜Alisi Tulua, Executive Director of
โœจ Luci Latu, Assistant Director of

Together, theyโ€™ll share how culturally grounded and accessible data strengthens advocacy, storytelling, funding, planning, and visibility for the communities they serve. ๐Ÿ’›

Because data is more than numbers โ€” it is POWER, REPRESENTATION, and the ABILITY TO FIGHT for healthier futures for our people.
