Furniture Donation Request

The Community Institute for Psychodynamic Psychotherapy is seeking donations of small, comfortable chairs for our therapy rooms.

As a small nonprofit, we provide low-cost, sliding-scale psychotherapy and counseling for individuals, couples, and families in our community. With eight therapy rooms in constant use, several chairs are in need of replacement.

We are looking for chairs that are:

Comfortable and supportive, some high back

Small to moderate in size (appropriate for therapy offices)

In good condition

Free of stains, tears, or excessive wear

We are happy to provide a thank-you letter for in-kind donations for your records.

If you have a chair to donate, please contact us at:
admin@cipmarin.com

Your support helps us continue providing accessible mental health care to those who need it most.

Thank you for supporting our community.

Thich Nhat Hanh’s life was inspiring, his benefit great, and his teaching, like the dharma itself, profound and practical. Here, he shares five practices to nurture happiness: letting go, inviting positive seeds, mindfulness, concentration, and insight.

Processing style can significantly influence a person’s interaction style with others. Internal processors engage in quiet, reflective thought and prefer to sort things out internally before sharing their ideas or feelings with others. External processors think out loud and use conversation and dialogue as extensions of their thought process. Each offers valuable strengths and can pose some interpersonal challenges.

For in person therapy in Marin, call the Community Institute for Psychotherapy at 415-459-5999 x102

Understanding whether you're an internal or external processor enhances self-awareness and relationships. Each style has strengths and challenges that complement each other.
