Our beloved mother’s life’s work was to promote the legacy of her father’s medical work, specifically amongst women and more so amongst the disadvantaged. She found in her own family endless toil in providing caregiving which she performed cheerfully without regard to the sacrifices she made personally. Thus her life’s work was left unfulfilled and so with a proper sense of gratitude for her care, and in the hopes of acting as nobly and honorably as she did, Diana’s children together are seeking to properly complete this work which she so tragically sacrificed for the sake of her family and friends.
Diana deeply believed in medical science, and especially the contributions women make to it. She felt it would be far better to have 100 skilled caregivers trained in the field than one ivory trained doctor- the simple medicine of practical people was her true inspiration as she herself was a caregiver to all around.
In this vein we seek to create a scholarship that can help to promote wellness and a wholistic approach to well-being. The Elks Club with its vaunted reputation for developing scholarships is our development partner although we actively encourage any and all who knew her or are inspired by her mission to add their shoulders to the wheel in whatever way they deem appropriate.
