Hey friends—Zachary is participating in the CF Cycle for Life to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, raising funds for critical research, top-tier care, and a cure. Every mile he pedals brings us closer.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating disease affecting people all over the world. Due to genetic variants in the CFTR gene, people with CF experience difficulties breathing, digestive problems, endocrine and reproductive health complications, and increased risk of cancer.  There is no cure for CF....

We’ve officially wrapped up the 10,000 KB Swing Challenge! Each week brought its own set of hurdles—early mornings, late nights, and even squeezing in swings after a few cocktails to make sure we didn’t miss a community event. But the team kept pushing through, never letting anything stand in our way. Now, it’s time for some much-needed recovery this weekend!

Evidence suggests that the whole-body fat-free mass index (FFMI) is more strongly associated with ppFEV1 than BMI in pwCF (Mason & Rogol, 2022). Improving body composition by building muscle mass and improving bone mineral density through strength training and physical activity, are low-hanging fruit that can improve the quality of life in pwCF.

My goal is to establish affordable training initiatives tailored for those living with chronic illnesses.
