How to Release the Emotional Charge from a Traumatic Memory?
Allow yourself to feel the emotional pain you couldn’t express at the time of the incident.
Stay with the feeling—observe it without judgment. Unprocessed emotions often stay within the body, so give yourself permission to feel them fully. Notice the sensations, the tears, the trembling—let them move through you.
If it feels too intense, pause and return to your breath. You can always come back when you feel safe and ready.
As the emotion passes, remind yourself that your true self is far greater than that moment in time.
Affirm your love, compassion, and appreciation for yourself—you are healing, evolving, and free.
Afterward, take a few moments to breathe deeply, stretch, or rest—allow your body and mind to integrate this release with gentleness and care.
