What a difference 24 days make!

Harriet and I met in San Francisco in 1992 where I was working near UCSF. Shortly after, I started my private practice in San Ramon. In the age before computers and social media were common, Harriet found me two years later across the bay. She wanted to continue to be in my care. Harriet was already in her 60's and didn't drive. She would take BART to Walnut Creek, where I would pick her up and drive her to San Ramon. We looked forward to each other's visits every 3 months. She met my children when they were infants and watched them grow up to be young adults. Harriet was much more than a patient to me, she was family. Harriet was a multi-talented artist in music, painting, acting, poetry, and more. She brought her artistry into our lives. She surprised us with a book she had written and illustrated. She captured our day on 4/15/2004 so vividly. (I'm a bit embarrassed to see how busy I really am on paper). Harriet is always complimentary of the simple homemade dinners we had before I drove her back to BART station at the end of the day. We shared many art projects and fun times in the past 30 years! Harriet, you will be missed, but you will live on in our hearts and through your art.

“Look at this!” JL excitedly showed off her beautiful smile. She was so happy to have her gums again. JL had gum graft by Dr. Tai, using her own tissue for a natural rejuvenation.

A wonderful case completed last week two years in the making. Crown lengthening (gum lift) by Upper veneers in emax porcelain lab work by and lower veneers in direct composite resin. SMILE!

Regeneration of an advanced periodontally diseased tooth for a 85 year old gentleman so that he could continue to wear his beloved partial denture. Implants were not something this patient wanted at his age. He was so happy that with guided bone regeneration we were able to strengthen his tooth and support his bite.
