Walkways and stairs like these are one of the most common areas where buildup gets ignored.
They don’t always look terrible at first, but once algae and organic growth start forming, the surface becomes slippery, uneven in color, and unsafe to walk on. This is especially true in shaded areas where moisture sits longer throughout the day.
In these before shots, you can see clear signs of buildup across both the walkway and stair surfaces. That green and dark discoloration is organic growth that continues to spread if it’s not treated properly.
We didn’t just rinse this off. We treated the surfaces first to break down the growth at the root, then used controlled pressure to clean everything evenly without damaging the concrete.
The result is a fully restored surface that looks clean, consistent, and most importantly, safe again.
This kind of maintenance also helps extend the life of the concrete and prevents long-term staining.
If your walkways or stairs are starting to look like this, it’s better to handle it early rather than wait until it becomes a bigger issue.
