Speech Therapy Fact! 🧠✨
Kids learn language best through play, not pressure.

When children play with toys, take turns in games, and share silly moments with caregivers, they’re actually building important speech and language skills. Play-based interactions help kids practice new words, communication, and social skills in a natural way.

That’s why speech therapy for kids often looks like play—because play is how children learn best!

This fun, hands-on activity was created by Mr. Esteban (M.S., LIC, CCC-SLP) and his intern Laila during a speech therapy session at Language Essentials — and it’s doing so much more than just celebrating the season.

Sensory bins are powerful tools in speech therapy and occupational therapy because they naturally build:
✨ Vocabulary and expressive language
✨ Following directions and listening skills
✨ Fine motor strength and coordination
✨ Sensory regulation for better focus and communication

The best part? Sensory bins are just as helpful at home as they are in session. A simple themed bin (like this March gold coin treasure hunt!) can spark conversation, expand concepts like “more/less” and “in/out,” and create opportunities for connection through play.

💚Play is powerful. Communication grows where engagement flows.

🌈 A little gold, a lot of growth.
