Journaling is a powerful mental health tool used in therapy, especially in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). ✍️ It helps you recognize and shift thought patterns that aren’t serving you, reflect on your inner world, and set meaningful intentions.

Writing things down slows the mind, reduces stress, and helps you feel calmer and more in control. 🧠💫

Chantel Kilford, DNP, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with over 30 years of nursing experience. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care.

Chantel specializes in psychiatric medication management and integrative therapy approaches tailored to each individual. She has extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, and seniors, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.

With a focus on collaboration and partnership, Chantel empowers her clients to achieve their mental health goals. She blends evidence-based practices with a compassionate, supportive approach to promote emotional well-being and resilience.

💙 Gentle Tips To Help You Cope With Grief: 💙

Grief is not a straight path—it’s personal, layered, and often unpredictable. Whether you’re grieving a loved one, a relationship, a life transition, or something less visible but deeply felt, here are some compassionate ways to support your healing journey:

🌿 Allow Your Emotions – All feelings are valid.
Express whatever your grief needs today.

🕊 Reach Out – Talk with someone you trust. You’re not a burden, and you don’t have to do this alone.

🧘‍♀️ Practice Restorative Self-Care – Take slow walks, eat nourishing foods, rest, and say no when needed.

📔 Write It Out – Journaling helps you release thoughts and memories in a safe, reflective way.

💬 Say Their Name – Talk about your loved one if it brings comfort. Keeping their memory alive can be healing.

📅 Give Yourself Time – There’s no timeline for grief. Let go of “shoulds” and move at your own pace.
