🚚I moved from Portland, Oregon to the Phoenix valley in the great migration year 2021
🌵I love Arizona for its beautiful landscape and the sunshine (up until September when I'm ready for fall)
🏠I also do some residential real estate here in the valley.
💰I'm mostly interested in investment properties & first time home buyers' because I know the value of real estate.
👶I'm a mom of 3-the best things that have ever happened to me
🙊I love to talk politics and religion (yup I know it's not suppose to be discussed)
🧐Im curious about a lot of things; especially people, experiences, history, spiritually, social dynamics
❤️‍🔥I'm passionate about: Social Justice, health of all kinds, culture & touch therapies
🌆I like adventure and a good time
🕊️I like to create spaces that are nurturing and enjoyable
🍱I'm a foodie but try and balance that with my interest in health
😥I'm recently separated/divorced after 20 years and experience all the pain and growth that comes with this life experience.
👀I'm curious and always growing.
☕️My favorite beverage is coffee
🎉I love variety and like excitement that new things bring
🤓I tend to over-think but also playful and fun
🧠I love to learn-about EVERYTHING

December of this year I went to a week long training and certification for Manuel Lymphatic Drainage. I spent an entire week by myself in a waterfront unit in Santa Monica, Ca.

It was a great, quiet week of solitude except for the 8 hour class days, and couple hours following to study.

I'm now a certified MLD practitioner in the valley under Klose training. If you are curious about what manual lymphatic drainage is, or know someone who needs a professional session because they have Lymphedema, Edema, trouble sleeping, anxiety, or a host of other types of symptoms or problems send them my way.

A pretty sunset here the other night & a reminder that I use hot stones as part of my massages often to help relax muscle and my clients' mind faster! Also, I don't charge an increase to do so. I want you to have the best possible results without making that a difficult, and burdensome thing in your life.

This was the Portland metro 3 years ago. In the middle of Covid, city riots and a loss of sensibility to neighbors the city I had lived in or near since 1997 did not feel like home any longer. It hadn't for some time. September of 2020 was a doozy for the area and most felt suffocated by the air, both figuratively and physically. I couldn't breath and so we booked a last minute flight out of the country to get some fresh air, and sunshine. I knew as soon as we returned from that week long trip that sunshine was what my body needed. We found Queen Creek, Az on a map and a potential turn-key spa to buy. Within 4 months of this time, we made the decision to move and have a reboot for our family.
Even after a couple or business endeavors fell through and at Times we have scratched our heads, laughed and wondered 'why here?' I have no regrets. This area has become 'home' and we only envision a stronger community, family and future here. We are Arizonians now. I'm proud to say it.

*we ❤️ you too portland/Vancouver peeps and you will always have a place in our hearts. You know where to come if you need to escape the dark, or rain though right?!?🤙🏼*

Many are aware of their IT band. A very common area of the legs that can get uncomfortable and bound up. But, did you know your whole body is covered with connective tissue? A massage practitioner who is familiar with myofascial release or similar modality can help release the bound tissue giving you more range of motion and decreased pain. At Relax and Restore Massage & Body we often address this tissue as part of your treatment knowing how wonderful the results are!

I’ve been in contemplation and prayer around what is it that makes me and my massage business stand out? Why do I love it so much & who/what do I bring to the table? What is my ‘niche’…blah, blah, blah
Anyone who has a passion for something and also trying to make a buck doing it, likely has to cross this bridge. I’ve got some clarity that excites me, and like anything revolutionary it can be hard to express in words. Passion is often expressed best in action.
I want to be known for bringing back the art, beauty and gift that massage can be. Like most arts and gifts to the world, we have commercialized and become mass consumers. Most people have never actually experienced being on a massage table and experienced it’s transformative power that comes from a gifted practitioner. We’ve cheapened the experience. We’ve made it another thing to gain and make money with and in doing so have lost some of the most basic elements. I have participated and know both worlds. I’ve worked in the run of the mill/ordinary massage industry beating my own body for the ‘buck’. I’ve also been at my best in a session: present, prayerful, surrendered. These qualities is what it takes to be really gifted in this craft. I hate what the massage industry at large is today, and I now know my mission: To come to each client surrendered, fully present, bring myself and allow the flow to guide us. I am not a ‘mass producer’ but a healer. I don’t want a massage to feel cheap, ordinary or bland. I want people to receive way beyond what they paid for. I want to bring back what was originally designed and appreciated about body work, some place in our history with massage that has been long forgotten in our modern, Western consumerism. This is a healing practice. This is a sacred art. This is an unfolding as part of our humanity where soul and body collide. This is a place where our walls can come down and our masks left at the door. I’m thrilled to be one of the massage practitioners understanding the mission (because I know there is still a lot out there) to bring renewal to an industry that has lost its awe & wonder.

Our Story

I simply stumbled upon my calling back in 2009. I was helping a chiropractor at a local county fair, offering basic ‘trigger point therapy’ for free to onlookers. In that short weekend, I felt tremendous love for those my hands laid on and an unusual sense of how and where to perform treatment for their necks and shoulders. I was getting positive comments and even folks asking me where I had my practice! I had no idea this would develop into my life calling. I signed up to begin classes at the popular Portland massage school just a few months later, and began what has been an incredible journey of my own soft tissue healing, but more importantly chapters of discovery on working with people and the gifting of laying of hands.

My passion is tri-fold. First, I strive to be a safe, nurturing, and unique experience with bodywork, massage and touch. Secondly, offering my clients with chronic pain, a place to receive affordable treatment plans, in order to ensure the best possible health care without medical insurance. And lastly, helping humanity be more acutely aware of our need to be whole in our minds, body and spirits while treating each person as an individual.
