THIS IS DEVASTATING!!!! MY LIFE IS RUINED!!!! LOOK WHAT THE ARIZONA STATE BOARD OF MASSAGE THERAPY DID TO ME & OTHERS!!!! PLEASE READ ALL!!!
My name is Jennifer Cross. I have been a licensed massage therapist ten years and built up my own business. It is devastating that I’ve renewed approx 4-5 times since 2021 yet the board still has me listed as expired!!! I sent a frustrated email to them since they haven’t answered their phones in ten years, and they responded with a CEASE AND DESIST ORDER! I then emailed them my receipts and proof I had OVER renewed!!! They held a hearing date WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME by phone or certified letter or subpoena. That had apparently emailed me 4 days before the hearing, in which I didn’t see the email until 2 days AFTER the hearing. They slapped me with a $4,300 something fine for supposedly working without a license since 2021, even though I showed them my receipts!!! I contacted the attorney generals office and they were to hold another hearing in which I could attend. During this hearing on November 25, 2024, it was more than obvious they previously had their minds pre set to not change the outcome from their previous hearing a month earlier. They would NOT allow me to show my evidence, they would NOT answer my questions, they would NOT allow my witnesses to testify, which ars codes clearly state in an administrative hearing, either party, with witnesses in the room, shall be allowed to testify. They work’s NOT look at the numerous times i had renewed, via my receipts, a couple times i even paid the $222 late fees even though i didn’t need to, as i had renewed in time. Investigator David Elson, mandated I start an initial application again. I also had to go get my fingerprint clearance etc. They continually muted me during the hearing. They would NOT listen to my proof it look at it. When I inquired that they tell me when their computer system changed over, because you used to HAVE TO go through the entire renewal form to get to the pay area, which was under the last section: section 8, investigator David Elson stated something on the lines of, he doesn’t feel that’s imperative to this case. THAT IS THIS CASE!!!! I’ve renewed and renewed and I have receipts to prove it! They state you can now pay without filing it the renewal form. Yes it it’s like that now, but it was NOT before!!! I want to see when it was changed over, as I have receipts to prove I’ve paid and renewed repeatedly!!!!!!!! They intentionally wanted to steal monies from me! They never responded to my email inquiry requesting where’s my license. They NEVER EVER, in ten years, notified me 60 days in advance that my renewal was upcoming, which is also an ars code mandatory for the director of the board to do!!! They had ample time to make contact, but the first contact was only made after I sent a somewhat rude, demanding letter. Oh I definitely pi**ed off the Director. They definitely decided to ruin my business, my life, my sons only providers provisions etc. THIS CRIMINAL ACTIVITY MUST CEASE!!!!! Join me in a class action lawsuit against the Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy! What they’ve done is criminal! Don’t let them get away with this hate crime!!!!!!!!
