Little World Yoga (ages 2-4 years):
Let your child discover the JOY of yoga and creative movement! In these classes children will be learning animal-like yoga poses and breathing techniques to help calm and release energy, as well as explore music, singing, playing creative movement games, art, and storytelling. The social and emotional development of children is extremely important, and each child develops at their own pace. These classes will provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child to grow and explore within their own safe limits. Classes are typically 30-45 minutes. Mindful Movin’ & Groovin’ (ages 5-8 years): Being a kid in this fast-paced, overscheduled world can be stressful! And how are kids expected to release their worries and stresses, let alone deal with them in a healthy way? In these classes children will learn yoga poses, partner poses, and engage in group team-building activities. They will also learn breathing techniques for calming down their emotions, play movement games, and explore journal writing & drawing. Classes are typically 45-60 minutes. Pre-Teen Yoga (ages 9-11 years):
The world of a budding teenager can be confusing and complicated. Bodies are changing, friendships are changing, and they are expected to be more individually responsible. Why not take some time to refresh, relax and connect with others in a safe, and respectful environment? Your pre-teen will learn about yoga postures, as well as work with others doing partner poses and group poses. They will explore what mindfulness is, and learn breathing techniques to aid in relaxation, and to help improve focus and attention. Classes will also include some role playing to help open up dialogue about bullying, peer pressure, friendship, etc. Classes are typically 60 minutes. Family Yoga & Art:
Looking for a fun and creative way to spend some quality time with your loved ones? Join the family fun with a family yoga class! These classes include individual and partner poses, games, music and a craft activity to make together and bring home as a family. Classes are typically 75 minutes.
“Peaceful Plan”:
Are you looking to incorporate more mindfulness into your family environment, but not sure where to begin? Is your child working through some difficult emotions or behaviors, and needs some assistance building a “toolbox” of ways to help himself/herself? I am available to work with your child or family on a personal, and confidential level. We can talk over the phone or meet in person to discuss what your exact needs are for your child or family, and then I will prepare a Personal Peaceful Plan. This Peaceful Plan will include: massage techniques to help your child, physical movement and yoga poses, breathing techniques to help calm BIG emotions, relaxation and visualization stories designed around your child’s specific interests, as well as helpful book suggestions for your child to help with their social and emotional learning. I will offer some 1-on-1 sessions with your child, which you can be part of, and will continue to serve as a supporter to you and your family throughout your process. Limited to 3 families currently, so please feel free to contact me for more information and to get started. Yoga Birthday Party: Looking for an exciting way to celebrate your child!? Why not have a Yoga birthday party! The yoga portion of the party will be designed specifically around the party theme, and will include your child’s favorite things. We will talk ahead of time to discuss the party, and if there is anything special you would like included. Yoga, games & music will be enjoyed by all! This usually runs for 45-60 minutes, depending on the children’s ages. Interested in yoga, but you don’t see something you like here? Please feel free to contact me to discuss offering other classes: boys only, girls only, teen classes, or yoga & art classes for children. Please contact me if you would like to discuss any of the class options, offering yoga in your school or studio, having a yoga themed birthday party, or creating a Peaceful Plan for your family. With love & Thanks,
Kasia
