If you give your child a BMX bike, they will want to ride. You’ll buy them the best bike you can find, followed by gloves, helmet and race pants.
You look for local tracks to ride at weekends, where you start to socialize with the BMX community…………And then life as you know it, will end.
Before you know it, they want to RACE so you find TRACKS…..There will be no more lazy weekends watching tv. You will see more sunrises than you ever thought possible.
Every spare minute of your time will be spent hauling campers, bike racks and bikes and enduring a crazy addiction to practice for the race.
Your house may be a mess, and your car will be dirty. All because you gave your child a BMX bike. Your weekends will be spent freezing or burning to death on a fold up chair. And their weekends will be spent gaining confidence and friends, learning new skills and having fun and getting dirty!!!!
You will be there the day he or she makes there first gate start , first main event qualifier, first win. And they will make you SO proud. Other parents will congratulate you, but you feel weird saying thank you because it's not you on the track, it’s your child. It's everything that they did, they achieved. And right before your eyes, your little boy/girl will be transformed from the baby who rode around on their STRIDERS into an expert.
When you give your child a BMX bike , you give them more than just something to ride. You give them a sport, a talent, hope and dreams. Friends, a new family, a place to learn about life, room to grow as a person where they can push their limits, and bravery, and courage, and memories. And they will have ALL of these things, simply because you gave your child a BMX bike.
Because you gave your child a bike, you too will develop new/lifelong friendships, developed solely from the same passion for the sport. You will have a BMX family because you gave your child a bike.
Then one day, many years from today…they will be in their room and a certain trophy will catch their eye. And they will pick it up and realize instantly that when you gave your child a bike, you also gave them a childhood that they would never forget, at this point, you realize that everything you gave up along the way and sacrificed was totally worth it…..
All because you gave your child a BMX bike🏆🏁

2 Sweet BMX Clinics would like to recognize and showcase one of our local riders Landon Wright. He has been coming to our weekly clinics and we could not be more proud of his progress. We just recently found out how much BMX and our clinics have helped him. This is what mom Kendra Wright had to say about his BMX journey: "Landon is 10 years old and he is going into the 5th grade at Berryhill Elementary. He enjoys all sports and loves the Pittsburgh Steelers and OKC Thunder. He started riding BMX about a year ago after seeing his cousin Carter take off with it. He was born with bilateral club feet and BMX has been a tremendous help with his strengthening in his legs. His physical therapist said it not only helps with strength but also with his balance. He has undergone a few surgeries and been in full leg casts. Two years ago his doctor told me he would need another surgery. I got nervous after not seeing much progress after the last surgery and got a second opinion. His new doc was adamant about physical therapy before another surgery. After doing PT and BMX for a year we don’t have to worry about another surgery. He loves the sport and even more loves learning from the great people at Sand Springs and Mayes. We are so lucky to have found such a great group of people. Seeing how much he has learned with the clinics and seeing him put it to work on the track is amazing. Thank you guys so much for all you do Jeff you guys have no idea how much I appreciate the help with him".

We are blown away at how much he has grown with the sport. He was once shy and reserved, but now is more social and even helps other riders when he can. Erin and I have enjoyed watching him progress and can't wait to see where BMX takes Landon!!
