Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville, Georgia has served east central Georgia since 1961. RMC is a licensed general acute care 56-bed hospital with a 60 bed extended care facility located within the hospital. Provides general and othopaedic surgery. WCRMC has announced a partnership with AU Health. This partnership will extend rural health outreach services, providing services to Sandersville residents and access to the best acute and emergent care where they live.

We are proud to share that Washington County Regional Medical Center has received the Get With The Guidelines®–Rural Stroke Bronze Award from the American Heart Association.

This recognition is based on stroke care data from April through June 2024 and reflects our hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care for stroke patients. It brings national attention to the work our team is doing every day to enhance outcomes for our community.

On Saturday, July 26th, Washington County Regional Medical Center participated in the Back to School Bash hosted by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. Our incredible team of volunteers showed up in full force - handing out essential school supplies, offering support to families, and cheering on students as they prepare to take on the new academic year. We’re grateful to stand beside our community and invest in the bright futures of the next generation!
