We've all experienced the feelings of being unsettled, scattered, indecisive, "all in our heads", overwhelmed, tense. These are all symptoms of not being connected to our bodies and allowing our thoughts to become our primary way of existing in the world.
Over time this can cause our nervous systems to feel more and more at home in "the flight, flight or freeze" response, perpetuating a feeling of what we call "anxiety" in our culture.
MFR is a form of treatment that allows people to return back into their bodies in a safe and effective way. As a MFR therapist I work with people's entire bodies (fascial system), using a gentle hands-on approach that allows the body to release restrictions, bringing the mind-body back into communication with eachother, so there is coherence between the two, a clear exchange of what is being filtered in and out.
Working with the fascial system is how this exchange becomes possible. MFR is the most effective, safe, and trusted approach I've experienced in treating clients with "anxiety" symptoms. It is also the approach I choose to manage my own anxiety, which has improved my quality of life in extraordinary ways.
