Big thanks to our friends at The Harry Morrison Foundation, The Innovia Foundation and The Idaho Community Foundation for their radical collaboration in helping PSNI purchase a new 2026 GMC Sierra for our Cardboard Recycling program. We couldn't have done it without their help and look forward to a new year in our new truck serving Sandpoint and its businesses!

We are so fortunate to be part of such a loyal and generous community!

Panhandle Special Needs, Inc. received $54,500 in grants from the Harry Morrison Foundation, Innovia Foundation and the Idaho Community Foundation to purchase a new recycling truck.

“There has to be a place like ours. We’re not just serving individuals—we’re supporting whole family units,” shares Trinity Nicholson, Executive Director of Panhandle Special Needs - PSNI in Sandpoint, Idaho.

For more than 4 decades, PSNI has been on a mission: to empower people with disabilities to live with greater independence, dignity, and purpose. With programs offering vocational training, life skills coaching, and community integration, PSNI has become a cornerstone of opportunity for individuals who often face limited pathways.

Last year, a $20,000 grant from Innovia Foundation’s Bonner and Boundary Forever Fund expanded employment opportunities at PSNI’s greenhouse, thrift shop, and cardboard recycling programs—a chance for participants to gain real-world experience, earn income, and build confidence to engage more fully in community life.

Huge shoutout to Roxy's Lounge in Sandpoint for letting our Blue Group roll in and absolutely take over the place for a couple hours 😄 We had an awesome time!

Extra love to Brody for hooking us up with pool games, free jukebox jams, and pinball credits like a true legend 🎶🎱🕹️

Great spot, fun vibes, lots of laughs, and a group full of happy people. We’ll definitely be back to cause more (friendly) chaos! We promise to mostly behave next time 😂
