Your child’s sensitivity to the world around them is a sign we need to pay attention to

The biggest contributors we see are:

- Histamine Overload
- Full Detox Bucket

Many times it’s both combined, as one feeds into the other

Both of these areas likely need support, in addition to finding the true causes underneath

Utilizing a professional clinical stool test like the GIMAP (sorry, Tiny Health) and a urine mycotoxin screening, we are able to see a BIG load of what can be driving these both

Starting with foundations, histamine support and gentle detox support — we can allow the body to calm, quiet + come back into balance

I know it’s stressful right now when it feels like the triggers are endless or you just have no idea what it is

They don’t have to be sensitive forever — as long as we listen☺️

Food allergies have a cause — it’s not a mystery

The immune system is overwhelmed and confused

Doing the deeper work to unload their immune + detox systems is the key to unlock true healing

We need to test their gut to see what imbalances are present there

And then check what is making the immune system even MORE hyperactive in their toxin burden by looking at mycotoxins from environmental exposure

It can take time and it can also be somewhat quick

Doing this deeper work is the greatest gift to their immune system and their future💛

The hardest thing about eczema is that it isn’t driven by just one thing

There are always multiple factors and you can drive yourself crazy trying to find out what’s behind YOUR child’s eczema just from scouring the internet

Food is important and it’s absolutely part of our process

But just because their skin didn’t change when you removed gluten or dairy, doesn’t mean those foods aren’t contributing to inflammation

Many times we need to dig deeper

And that’s exactly what we do in our Signature Program — we’re the health detectives in your corner figuring this out for you and help guide you all of the way🤝

Children with eczema need to start solids differently than the average advice you’ll find in a Peds office

Actually the current advice really isn’t great for any baby

So how can we improve this in a way that helps set them up for a lifetime of good gut health, immune health + resilience to this ever toxic world?

💛 No grains for at least the first few months and ideally until closer to a year if eczema or other gut issues are present

💛Wet or water-based cooking methods for meat (soups, stews, pressure cooking, braising) to help extract and preserve the gut healing amino acids + gelatin

💛Cook with bone-in meats for extra collagen + minerals (cheaper too💸)

💛Utilize the whole animal — incorporate organ meats for nutrient packed bites for even the pickiest eaters (can hide in sauces, ground meats, shaved into purées etc)

💛Root veggies first, fruits last

💛Meat stock + whipped bone marrow every day, directly in a cup and mixed into foods

💛No added sugar until >2 years old, this comes directly from the Academy of Pediatrics and I agree!

💛All of the reds, purples + blues in produce to promote the kind of protective bacteria we need

💛Ferments can be helpful for children without eczema + histamine issues

No need to give fortified grains when you’re getting all of the nutrients packed in naturally

Can pouches be given? Sure, but not as a staple and more of an addition to the above as a treat or occasionally need something on the go.

When you cook like this for the whole family, it becomes super easy to include baby too.

Do you include any of these for your baby? Let me know!

“They’ll grow out of it”

“Just give it some time”

“It’s just a little eczema”

If you’re feeling dismissed and ignored after doctors’ appointments and like there HAS to be more you can do for your child

Well…. There is. A lot more actually

Providers telling parents any of these things is negligent, but honestly it’s not all their fault

The system is set up faulty. They don’t even have real tools or real solutions for eczema in conventional care

If you’re doc would actually read research and dig a little deeper on their own, they’re going to find there’s a whole lot they haven’t been taught

It doesn’t make up for the lack of care and defeat parents feel though

The longer this goes on, the deeper the imbalances get — all the while you could’ve been doing things that actually move your child towards healing

A Holistic Children’s Eczema Specialist lives and breathes this stuff

It’s all we do, all we think about and all we wake up in the middle of the night dreaming about (I swear😂)

I will always continue to preach that every kid is different and no one piece of advice can be generalized

But seriously, some of these things might help SOME kids and some of it is just harmful advice

To generalize is to risk a huge flare that might take weeks to get over

The biggest one I can say without a doubt is likely going to hurt more than benefit is fermented foods + random probiotics

These are full of histamine and are likely going to tip the boat over causing big symptoms

Can they tolerate them in the future once their load of immune triggers is down?

100%!

Let’s look at their stool test to see if they even need a probiotic… about 90% of the time the answer is No. Because there’s already too much! (Based on testing 100s of kids)

An individualized comprehensive plan tailored to your child’s unique needs is the answer🙌🏻
