April is Parkinson's Awareness Month🧡

Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder that affects the central nervous system, specifically the brain cells that produce dopamine, a neurotransmitter responsible for controlling movement. 1 in 100 people over the age of 60 is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and it is estimated that 10 million people worldwide live with Parkinson’s Disease.

Exercise has some amazing benefits for the brain and many studies support that it can improve cognitive function, mood, decrease symptoms, and even slow brain shrinkage.

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month! Did you know that 1 in 10 women are affected by Endometriosis?

Endometriosis occurs when tissue, similar to the lining of the uterus, grows outside the uterus. This abnormal growth can impact any organ in or around the pelvis, leading to a variety of challenging symptoms.
Common symptoms include:
⭐️ Bloating
⭐️ Painful in*******se
⭐️ Infertility
⭐️ Severe menstrual cramps and painful periods
⭐️ Diarrhea
⭐️ Pain during urination or bowel movements

What can help manage Endometriosis? There are treatments and lifestyle changes that can help alleviate symptoms including medications, exercise, diet changes, pelvic floor PT, and surgical interventions that can all be helpful.

If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms of endometriosis, it’s important to speak with a healthcare provider or specialist for a personalized treatment plan.
