Vietnam-era veterans exposed to nerve agents and hallucinogenic drugs in a classified military research program more than 50 years ago are appealing for retroactive disability benefits after a federal court ruling found their constitutional rights were violated.

In 2019, Mark B. Jones argued the landmark Taylor case at the United States Court of Veterans Appeals. Mark lost in a 1-3 decision, but helped appeal the case to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The Court issued a decision on June 15, 2023, which provided a way for Edgewood Veterans to file claims for an earlier effective date.

Our office has now successfully filed claims for other Edgewood Arsenal veterans to allow them to receive the benefits they have long deserved.
