A holistic and effective approach to health care We want to help you get to the bottom of your aches and pains.

We opened in March 2017 in hopes to offer the kind of massage that many folks want but don't know how to find...This isn't a spa and unless explicitly asked for, you won't be getting a "light and airy" massage. We'll use a variety of therapeutic modalities such as: myofascial release, neuromuscular techniques, trigger point therapy, deep stretching, and structural integration. We work with everyone: carpenters, pregnant ladies, baristas, lumberjacks, the elderly, high school football players, dancers, teachers, you name it. We'll work with you and whatever kind of issues you may have.

Sandpoint Medical Massage & Bodyworks is preparing to welcome two new therapists to our collective practice beginning in March or April.

We are a community-rooted bodywork clinic that values professionalism, humility, and continued learning. Our work is grounded in therapeutic skill, thoughtful presence, and deep respect for the body’s capacity to adapt and regenerate.

Our space is tended by practitioners who believe bodywork can support greater integration, awareness, and resilience across the lifespan — from newborns to elders. We are sustained not only by those who seek care here, but by a shared commitment to affordability, accessibility, and ethical sustainability.

We are seeking licensed massage therapists who are:

• Clinically competent and committed to ongoing education
• Interested in structural integration, rehabilitation support, or other therapeutic modalities
• Aligned with community-centered practice
• Grounded, collaborative, and self-reflective in their work

:: February Offering :: Complimentary Infrared Sauna Session

Throughout February, each 75-minute bodywork session includes a complimentary infrared sauna session.

Infrared heat therapy is commonly associated with increased circulation and muscle relaxation. Some people choose to use infrared heat on its own, while others incorporate it alongside bodywork as part of their overall wellness routine.

This month’s offering is one way we continue to make supportive care more accessible in our community. Expanding access to different therapeutic modalities matters to us.

Insurance-covered massage may be available. Call our office for confirmation.

We are also developing a Clinical Infrared Heat Therapy Membership for those who value consistent access to infrared heat sessions. More details will be shared soon.

One last quick note for those with appointments this week: parking may be a bit tighter than usual due to a large event being held in our building by Kochava, a local tech company. Handicap parking should still be available, but we recommend allowing an extra 5 minutes to find parking if you use non-handicap spots.

~ Visceral Manipulation (VM)
A comprehensive tour of the anatomy of each internal organ, including glide planes between organs, glide planes between each organ and the body wall, and the suspensory elements that attach the organ to the musculoskeletal frame. Substantial embryology is taught for each organ to aid understanding of structure. Manual therapy techniques are taught to restore the glide planes, the span of the suspensory structures, and the motility of each organ. Results include improved organ function and reduction of musculoskeletal symptoms referred from internal organs.

Please bring your own towels to your sauna session. Our laundry service is currently at full capacity due to high demand for bodywork sessions.
Sessions are now 60 minutes (extended from 45) to give you more time to adjust the temperature and fully enjoy your session.
Payment options: If booking online, please pay in advance. If paying in person, we kindly ask that you bring exact cash or a check, as we may not always have front desk support for check-out.
