A holistic and effective approach to health care We want to help you get to the bottom of your aches and pains.

We opened in March 2017 in hopes to offer the kind of massage that many folks want but don't know how to find...This isn't a spa and unless explicitly asked for, you won't be getting a "light and airy" massage. We'll use a variety of therapeutic modalities such as: myofascial release, neuromuscular techniques, trigger point therapy, deep stretching, and structural integration. We work with everyone: carpenters, pregnant ladies, baristas, lumberjacks, the elderly, high school football players, dancers, teachers, you name it. We'll work with you and whatever kind of issues you may have.

:: Structural Integration ::
If you’ve ever felt like your body is working too hard just to stand or walk, or you’ve had ongoing tension in your neck, shoulders, or low back, this can help. It’s about getting to the root of the issue—not just treating symptoms.

Structural Integration is a hands-on therapy that focuses on improving how your body is aligned and how it moves. It works by releasing deep tension in the body’s connective tissue—called fascia—which wraps around your muscles and organs. Over time, things like injuries, posture, stress, or repetitive movements can cause this tissue to get tight or stuck, pulling your body out of alignment.”

:: Insurance Reminder ::

As the end of the year approaches, we’d like to share a few important reminders for those who use (or plan to use) health insurance benefits at our office. Please note that this message does not apply to veterans using TriWest benefits.

• Updated referrals:
If your referral for massage therapy is more than one year old, please provide us with an updated referral for the 2026 year.

• Insurance changes:
If your insurance plan will be changing in the new year, please let us know as soon as possible to help avoid any confusion or delays with billing. Changes may include:

– a new plan or policy number
– a new insurance provider
– updated copays or deductibles

We will continue to offer the courtesy of verifying benefits with your insurance plan in the new year. Please keep in mind that any copay or coinsurance amounts we provide are estimates only. Insurance companies ultimately determine claim processing, so we encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly with any questions about your specific coverage.

Tell us about your massage school and other trainings:
I went to massage school in Sedona, where I also completed my reiki master training. I have also studied Craniosacral with The Milne Institute, Advanced Training with Til Luchau, and The Schatz Method with Gina Schatz.

What bodywork are you currently studying?
I am constantly learning and am currently diving into the endless knowledge of anatomy! The more I can know about the various systems and interconnections in the body, the more I can apply the skills I already have to the body in new and more specific ways.

What do you want people to know about their body?
Your body uses the tool of discomfort, sensational awareness, (pain) to talk to you. To tell you something isn’t aligned. It’s up to each of us to listen to the body, follow its cues and move towards alignment and wholeness. It can be helpful to know that the pain isn’t you, just the messenger.

What do you want people to know about health and wellness?
Health and Wellness can come from awareness. The body has an incredible capacity to take care of itself with some attention. The body already knows how to heal itself, even if it needs a little assistance from time to time. I wonder sometimes… if when we need assistance with our health and well-being, are we really just being guided towards practicing vulnerability and connection with another?

What is your favorite system in the body?
Where does one system end and the other begin? If I had to choose I would choose the fascia. The way it pervades and connects all the other systems with no apparent beginning or end is so fascinating to me. Fascia also relays information around the body faster than most other systems. It’s amazing to me how much information can be stored in the fascia as well.

Favorite thing to do in Sandpoint?
I love being outside! This past summer I fell in love with paddle boarding with my 20 month old daughter and wife! So precious to be out on the water and share that with my loves.

You find out that SMMB offers Full-Spectrum, Infrared Sauna for only $35 Per Session. It is very important that you take advantage of giving yourself this gift as often as you can this year.

Heat therapy through sauna use is a powerful way to help release these stored toxins. Our full-spectrum infrared sauna features chromotherapy and is built from beautiful western red cedar, comfortably accommodating up to four people.
We’re able to offer our low rates by asking guests to bring their own towels. Currently, we aren’t offering towel service from our office.
