Myth: “If I can see fine, I don’t need an eye exam.”
✅ Truth: Eye exams detect more than vision changes — they help spot early signs of health conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and more.
Don’t skip your checkup!

Did you know?
Wearing contact lenses the wrong way can lead to serious infections — some that can even cause permanent vision loss. Yikes!
Don’t worry — we’re here to help.
During Contact Lens Health Week, stop by or give us a call if you have any questions about your lens routine. Your eyes will thank you!

Let’s play a game:
❌ Shower with contacts?
❌ Reuse old solution?
❌ Sleep in them when you're not supposed to?
If you said “yes” to any of these... your eyes are not amused.
Celebrate Contact Lens Health Week by kicking those bad habits and keeping your vision crystal clear.

At Family Eye Care Centers, we believe strongly in giving back to the community and caring for the eyes of all those in need. Outreach programs represent an opportunity to show the level of commitment our optometrists have to their community.
Family Eye Care Centers’ doctors participate in several community organizations including Rotary, North Coast Young Professionals, The Ohio State Alumni Association of Erie County, The Huron Chamber of Commerce, and The Clyde Business Professionals Association.
In addition, our doctors participate in InfantSEE, which provides a free comprehensive eye exam to any infant in their first year of life.
In 2011 Family Eye Care Centers, along with Hoya Vision Care, VSP, and Transitions Optical hosted Eyenstein, a mobile vision clinic that provides free comprehensive eye exams and if needed, a pair of glasses to underprivileged youth in our community. We were able to see approximately 40 patients from Sandusky City Schools over two days.
