This month, we’re spotlighting our porcelain night lights, created with a lost art known as “lithophanes.” The technique uses layered molding, producing art from an image that shines wherever and whenever you may need it.

Welcome to The Remembrance Center

The loss of a loved one is felt long after the flowers have faded. We believe your expression of sympathy should do the same.

The Remembrance Center is a privately owned retail gift shop specializing in gifts of condolence. Coming from a family which has been involved in the funeral industry for over a hundred and fifteen years, we saw a need for an alternative to sending flowers as a means of expressing sympathy. Flowers play an important role in the funeral process and much comfort is given by their presence. All too often, however, grieving families were left with no tangible reminder of their loved one or of the thoughtfulness of their friends. And so the Remembrance Center was born.

Since opening in 2001 we have continued to learn what people are looking for to memorialize a loved one. The gift must be as unique and as meaningful as the person remembered. We have searched the major gift marts in New York, Chicago, Atlanta and across the country to find the perfect way to tell someone you share their sorrow. At The Remembrance Center we hope you will find the means to convey your own unique sentiments during a very difficult time. Our personalized service and attention to detail will ensure that your gift is a lasting expression of your sympathy.

For funerals in the Sandusky, Ohio area, The Remembrance Center will deliver and display your gift at all funeral homes in Sandusky, Huron, Milan, and Castalia at no charge. If your order is a gift to be shipped, we will be happy to gift wrap most items at no charge. Large statuary and garden stones are the exception.
