We can't pour from an empty cup. Try to find ways during the day to fill up your cup, feed your soul instead of feeding stress with cortisol 24/7.

Here's a gentle reminder to step away from stress and take at least 5 minutes to walk outside, listen to music or simply watch this on autoplay. 🐳🌞

Today's a GREAT day for fresh pressed Walk of Life Juice!

Hey folks! Last night we got word that the Sandusky Farmers Market was cancelled. Soooo I have a LOT of juice and would LOVE to see you here at 135 E Water St. downtown during normal market hours, 8-noon. Come see the juciery and chat with owner, operator and 9-time employee of the month ME!! (Don’t want to hassle with the car show? Let me know where you’re parked and I’ll run it over to you!) Big shout out to the City of Sandusky for investing in our beautiful Historic Downtown. Can you believe the changes that have been made in only a short period of time?

In the many years we've been there, we have recently seen (and felt) the city come back to life and are proud to have our office right in the middle of all this activity. So happy to have new neighbors like Coveted by Cher, Vita Sandusky and others that are popping up to help make our downtown a vibrant place to visit. Can't wait to see what the future holds!

Want some ice cream to beat this summer heat?

This one is without the added refined sugars and full of natural whole food ingredients, a nice option to cut the sugar but still enjoy the treat!

Recipe:

- Thinly slice bananas and transfer them to a large, resealable plastic freezer bag, let freeze over night.

- Chop it up. In a food processor/blender, pulse frozen bananas until finely chopped

- Add some sweetness; a little coconut water with a squeeze of maple syrup.

- Process until smooth, scraping sides as needed.

Top with some crushed pistachios, dried cranberries or any other nutritious topping and ENJOY this 'nice' healthy summer treat!

In order to understand hormone health it helps to know how hormones work!

Hormones work because they signal receptors to do the job the body needs them to do in order to function properly.

They signal;
- our genes
- the cells of our body
- and it's been know that nutrients determine how long hormones sit in these receptor sites.

So, if we have the right nutrients, hormones will sit in the receptor sites long enough to send optimal signals to its' target inside our cells.

However, those receptor sites can be blocked by things like environmental toxins (pollutants, plastics, heavy metals, xenoestrogens, etc) which are all around us and wreaking havoc on our hormones.

Hormone levels can be normal, but if you're still having symptoms related to hormonal issues, it could be that your receptor sites are blocked and not being signaled.

Addressing adequate nutrient consumption and toxic load would be a great place to start with hormone health!

Hydration is SO incredibly important, especially in this summer heat! 🙂

Pure clean water nurtures all the systems in the body. Research shows that over 70% of people are chronically dehydrated and they don't even realize it!

So we wanted to drop some tips for you to hopefully encourage you to be mindful of your water intake daily.

- Add some lemon love, it will also support your body's detox pathways

-Eat your veggies & fruit, they pack a hydrating punch; especially celery, cucumbers and watermelon.

-Make it part of your morning ritual, drink down a large glass first thing in the morning, even before you brush your teeth!

-Get herb-y; try adding peppermint, lemongrass, lavender or even cilantro.

-Keep track! At least for a week or so to see just how much you're getting in. A good benchmark to hit is 70oz daily, at a minimum!
