Happy Friday!! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as the woman behind Mellow Therapeutic Massage. My name is Samantha and I’m heading into my second year as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Prior to massage, I graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s of arts in Sociology and Criminology. Over the years, I worked various service jobs such as Case Manager, server/bartender, and teacher/ behavior support for children and young adults with developmental disabilities. I dove into massage as a new career path, unaware of how much I would enjoy this work. I am intrigued by all the different approaches to massage and learning about what works best for my clients. I enjoy knowing that this bodywork is always changing, challenging me to grow. I am grateful to be in a shared space with two other talented women, and connected in a community of professionals who want to help others. In addition to massage, I teach yoga, clean, and soon heading back to behind the counter at Sandusky Book Bar. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, camping, paddle boarding with friends, hiking, reading, cooking, playing with my dog, and of course, mushroom foraging! I feel immense gratitude for this moment in my life and I’m looking forward to the rest of this journey.
