We had a special group 🚴‍♂️ roll 🚴‍♂️ through today - The Ability Experience's Journey of Hope

Each year, about 50 men bike across the country to test their limits, spread awareness, and celebrate the abilities of all people. With two routes starting on the West Coast, the teams cover 8,000 miles, wrapping up at the Capitol Lawn in D.C.

Today, we were honored to be one of their meaningful stops. The team brought energy, joy, and a message that echoes loud and clear: disability doesn’t mean inability.

Today was a fun day in the sun! We spent it in the pool and on the waterslide at the Norwalk Rec Center!

This week we started the 2nd Session of our Summer Youth Work Experience Program. We are off to a great start, everyone is learning their tasks and getting familiar with the job expectations. Ability Works staff and students are working at several area locations in: Erie, Huron, Sandusky, Ottawa and Lorain Counties.

Pictured employment partners are: Friendship Animal Protective League, Millers Market of Norwalk, the Erie County Dog Pound, FREMONT FAMILY YMCA, the Salvation Army of Norwalk and African Safari Wildlife Park.
