Let’s talk about your Window of Regulation 🪟

What is it?

Our window of regulation (also known as window of tolerance) is our optimal range of emotional and physiological arousal. When we are in our window of regulation we are able to:
✔️Think clearly
✔️Manage emotions
✔️Learn, communicate, and problem-solve
✔️Respond flexibly rather than react impulsively

But when we are outside of our window for too long, that window slowly shrinks and feels less difficult to find. Tune in to this week’s Talk About it Tuesday to learn a few ways to expand your window 😁

The secret is out! Our chosen book for our first Read and Reflect group : The Mountain is You 🏔️

Join us for a supportive, therapist- facilitated wellness group centered on reading, reflecting, and challenging negative belief systems. This group will explore the viral self-help book on overcoming self-sabotage through shared reading, thoughtful group discussion, and guided journal prompts for each week. Participants will build insight, connection, and practical tools for personal growth. No prior group experience is needed, just a willingness to reflect, share, and grow in a welcoming community 🌻

As we approach the end of the year and end of the holiday season, we tend to see an uptick in relationship issues. Rather than being reactive throughout the season and into the new year, lets be proactive now 👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏽

Holiday tips for couples as we head into the end of the year 👇🏼

1. Manage expectations
2. Address family dynamics
3. Discuss finances
4. Make time for each other

And remember- couples therapy can be utilized as preventative care. Just as you see your physician for regular checkups, you can see our clinicians for maitenance and wellness plans 🧠🤍
