Why Chiropractic?
When Brian Woodbeck was working his way through college, he was a paramedic. His plan was to go to medical school to become an Emergency Room Physician, when the ambulance he was working in was in a rollover accident. Brian suffered some pretty bad injuries, and the doctors said he would be off work for 5-6 weeks of rest and prescribed medication. His boss said he needed to get back to work within a week or he would lose his job, and his Mom sent him to her chiropractor. At first, Brian was hesitant...he kinda thought chiropractors were quacks, but he soon changed his mind.
The chiropractor he saw was a petite woman named Angie Riffel. She not only helped Brian get back to work within a week, she fixed a lot of other issues he had. He was thoroughly impressed with her ability to help him heal without drugs. She asked him to shadow her for a week to see what Chiropractors can do that the traditional MD cannot. He saw patient after patient walk in the office suffering from pain, and they felt much better when they left. The ability to alleviate a patient’s pain and suffering without prescribing drugs left a huge impact on him. He changed his major from Emergency Medicine to Chiropractic.
Dr. Brian Woodbeck has been practicing the gentle art of chiropractic since graduating Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2003. He worked at Family Chiropractic in Sandusky from 2004 to 2008, and started Woodbeck Chiropractic in Sandusky in 2010. His methods are safe, gentle and effective, just like his mentor. “You don’t need to use a lot of pressure or cause pain to adjust the spine,” says Dr. Woodbeck. “Using the Palmer method, activators, and the sacral occipital technique, I can provide gentle and effective pain relief for a wide variety of health conditions.”
Pamela Woodbeck is a massage therapist and the office manager at Woodbeck Chiropractic. She and Brian are both firm believers in natural healing methods, including homeopathy, massage, essential oils, herbs and chiropractic adjustments. They both enjoy helping people to feel better, and practice whole body wellness.
