Spit up can look alarming, but it is often completely normal in babies. Newborns have very small stomachs, and when they take in a little more than they can comfortably hold, the extra can come back up. Their digestive system is still developing, so this happens more easily in the early months.

As long as your baby is feeding well, growing, and generally content, occasional spit up is usually nothing to worry about. If something feels off or the spit up seems excessive or uncomfortable, it is always worth checking in. Your instincts matter.

If you are unsure what is normal or want support, you can book a consultation to walk through what you are seeing and how to best support your baby.

Before you start that supplement… pause.

Pregnancy is not a time to experiment.
Even “natural” products can have real biological effects.

Your body is already doing a lot.
It does not need to be optimized. It needs support.

Be cautious of anything that promises to balance hormones, detox, or boost energy quickly. If it sounds like a cure-all, it likely is not designed for pregnancy.

Trending ingredients like adaptogens, mushroom blends, nootropics, and high-dose vitamins often lack proper pregnancy research. That matters.

Some herbs can also affect hormones or uterine activity, including ashwagandha, d**g quai, black cohosh, and St. John’s Wort.

When in doubt, keep it simple.: Eat well. Hydrate. Rest. Move gently. Breathe.

And always check with your physician before starting anything new.

Your body is doing something extraordinary. Support it wisely.

When a baby has difficulty latching, tires quickly during feeds, pops up frequently, clicks while nursing, or struggles with reflux, there is ALWAYS an underlying issue with structure and function.

Osteopathic treatments gently release tension in the jaw, neck, and diaphragm, supporting better feeding mechanics, comfort, and connection.

By introducing osteopathic treatments within the first few months of life, we help set the foundation for easier feeding, improved digestion, and a more regulated nervous system.

Does any of this sound familiar? Let's get you on the books for a FREE consult.

When I care, I really care.

I always check in after a visit to see how things are going, because those in-between moments matter just as much as the time in the room.

“How do I know if this is normal… or if something is actually wrong?”

It is one of the most common questions parents ask.

Babies cannot explain what they feel, so they communicate through their bodies and behavior. Things like constant crying, arching, feeding struggles, difficulty settling, or noticeable asymmetry can all be ways your baby is trying to tell you something.

Some challenges are common in the early months. But common does not always mean normal or something you have to simply wait out.

When we look closely at how a baby’s body is moving, regulating, and feeding, we can often uncover what is actually going on and support them in a gentle, effective way.

If your instincts are telling you something feels off, it is always worth listening to that signal.

Myth: Pregnancy congestion is normal and there’s nothing you can do.

Truth: Congestion is very common during pregnancy, but that does not mean you have to live with it.

As blood volume increases and hormones change how tissues respond, swelling can develop in the sinuses. That is why many pregnant women feel constantly stuffy, blocked, or like they have to breathe through their mouth.

Because it is common and not dangerous, many people are simply told it is “normal.” But normal does not mean untreatable.

Gentle osteopathic treatments can help support sinus drainage by improving movement through the face, neck, ribs, and diaphragm. When those areas move more freely, pressure and fluid in the sinuses can begin to clear.

Many women notice they breathe easier, feel less pressure, and sleep better. You do NOT have to stay congested your entire pregnancy.

Motherhood was never meant to feel like a competition.

You are not required to match someone else’s timeline.
You are not expected to do everything perfectly.
And you do not have to say yes when your body is asking for rest.

It is okay to slow down.
It is okay to ask for support.
It is okay to protect your energy.

Caring for yourself is not separate from caring for your family. It is part of it.

Share this with a mom who might need a gentle reminder today.

By the fourth visit, the focus shifted fully into healing for baby.

With remaining restrictions gently eased and stored birth tension released, the body was able to slow down and soften. As the tissues relaxed, the nervous system found more ease, creating space for regulation and continued development.

One of the most powerful ways to support a baby’s nervous system in the first year of life is through gentle osteopathic care. By treating the body as a connected system, osteopathic treatment helps babies feel safe in their bodies, allowing relaxation, integration, and growth to unfold naturally.

Schedule you're FREE 1:1 consult by DM'ing BABY.
