🚫Same day releases!

There I said it! These are FAR too common and we are tired of seeing it. I’m not shaming providers who are okay with same day releases, but it is an easy way out and the outcomes are shotty at BEST!

Some of these same day releases can be predatory so parents be careful! Some doctors will prey on your anxiety about getting your little one fed. It’s important to do your research and advocate for yourself.

The tongue is a complex muscle with 8 different smaller muscle groups that need re education when it is tied and not functioning well. Simply “clipping” it just releases the muscle. But then the muscle often ends up MORE FLOPPY AND FLIMSY because the weakness wasn’t corrected. It hadn’t been programmed and now this can make matters worse!

If you agree with this, PLEASE share so we get this point across and STOP the normalizing of rushing into surgery.

Who knew Tummytime was so important for infant development ?

This method helps with regulation, digestion, and much more.

If your infant has a hard time being in tummy time, it could be a signal to seek occupational therapy (speech and language pathologist, IBCLC or occupational therapist typically).
