✨Facial Contouring Surgery is the most challenging and highly specialized area of aesthetic and plastic surgery. The aesthetic surgeon needs to be able to visualize the end results an design a customized treatment plan of multiple procedures to produce the desired end results. Dramatic facial contour enhancements requires skillful work with both soft tissues (skin, fat, muscle) and hard tissues (bone, cartilage) of the face.

⭐️Malarplasty - Cheekbone Reduction narrows the width of the upper and midface. An excessive wide midface can look too harsh and is less desireable in Asian cultural beauty standards. This procedure is done through small incisions inside the mouth. The cheekbones are carefully cut and approximately 6-8mm of bone is removed in order to narrow width of the face.
⭐️Buccal Fat Reduction - Buccal Fat Hyperplasia cause excess fullness in the soft tissue cheek area just below the cheekbones. This procedure enhances the contour of the face from all angles to look slimmer.
⭐️Mandibleplasty - V line jawline shaving reshapes the contour of the lower jawline to look more slender. Similar to wide cheekbones, wide jaw angles tend to look out of harmony and are also less desireable. This procedure is also done with incisions hidden inside the mouth.
⭐️Genioplasty - The chin bone is advanced forward to add more length to the jawline for a more balanced profile. A chin implant may also be appropriate for some patients as an alternative. Chin bone advancement is a better option for chin augmentation to have more natural looking results for those who have a deeper labiomental sulcus, the dipped in area between the lower lip and the chin. It’s also a better option in most cases where a larger amount of augmentation is needed beyond 5mm.
⭐️Rhinoplasty - Augmentation rhinoplasty is uniquely different from more conventional reduction rhinoplasty. In this case, we use the patient’s own cartilage obtained from behind the ear along with temporalis fascia for increase her bridge height. The increased tip projection and definition was done using cartilage from the septum. The nose and chin are two key facial profile defining features.

This beautiful patient traveled from out of town to see us because she wanted to have a more refreshed look. Although she’s been happy with fillers previously to help her address some age related changes with volume loss. Recently, she started to notice that fillers by themselves do not provide the lift and contour she’s looking for. I recommended a combination treatment plan for her using threads to provide lift in her midface and jawline areas. I also injected filler just enough to fill in the prejowl sulcus ( the area along the jawline in front of the jowl and behind the chin to further define and smooth out her jawline. This treatment combination of provides a good alternative option for surgery with minimal downtime. This treatment can be done with local anesthesia alone but light IV sedation is a great option for maximal patient comfort during treatment for best experience.
