Meet Kimberly Smith, RBT
“I enjoy working for this company because they are caring, compassionate, understanding, and professional. They make me feel welcome, appreciated, wanted! They care about me as a person and not just an employee. They care about my future and my goals!
My reasoning for joining this field of work is because I’m in college to become a therapist! I’m attending University of North Georgia for my masters in psychology, this is my third year. So I thought this would be a good way to get my foot in the door, have some type of knowledge and I can also work my way up! Helping others is my biggest passion so I knew I would love this!
My favorite part of this job is making a difference! That I have the ability to help others grow and flourish into amazing people. I get to spend one on one time with these precious souls daily and help them!
One fun fact about me? I was born in the car on the way to the hospital after my mom ate Taco Bell! My dad delivered me!

An RBT’s Role includes:
✨ Meeting the child daily/weekly for therapy sessions
✨ Implementing the child’s personalized care program created by the BCBA
✨ Teaching essential skills in communication, social interactions, and daily living goals
✨ Track progress by collecting data on skills and behaviors to monitor growth
✨ Collaborate with the BCBA: Receive guidance and support through regular supervision.

Meet JoAnna Hausler, RBT!
“I enjoy working for GBA because of the flexibility and the support I receive to do something I love.
This is something I did in the past and went to college to major in early childhood education with an interest in special education. I was away from the workforce for sometime to raise my children and knew I wanted to get back into this field of work.
My favorite part of the job is watching the kids grow and learn. When they learn a new skill we all get excited about how great they are doing.
I sew blankets, memory pillows, and many other things in my free time.”
